- The research involved 98 colorectal cancer cases, revealing that 73.5% showed positive NF-kappaB expression and 49.0% showed COX-2 expression, mainly in tumors located in the distal colon.
- No significant differences were found in NF-kappaB and COX-2 expressions between the age groups, suggesting high NF-kappaB levels in patients and highlighting a need for more research on inflammation's role in colorectal cancer development.
