The oxidation of CHCO by (Δ) O has been investigated by means of high level quantum chemical and chemical kinetic calculations. The reaction was found to proceed through a four-membered cyclic transition state resulting from the addition of O to the CC bond of ketene. The reaction energetics has been calculated employing post-CCSD(T) corrections.

Currently, the correlation between the experimental viscoelastic (at lower frequencies) and elastic (at higher frequencies) moduli has fundamental and practical relevance, but remains unclear.

Tardigrade Dsup: Interactions with DNA and protection of cells from oxidative stress.

The remarkable capability of Tardigrade to survive under extreme conditions has been partially attributed to Dsup, an intrinsically disordered, highly positively charged protein. Dsup has been shown to bind to DNA in vitro, a property that has been associated with the capability of Dsup to exhibit stress-protective effects when expressed in mammalian cells. However, DNA binding of Dsup has not been visualized in living cells and expression of Dsup in different cell types was associated with either protective or detrimental effects.

Rights-based reproductive services in medical schools in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Chandigarh, India: baseline findings of mixed-methods implementation research.

Introduction: There is a need to assess and strengthen reproductive rights-based family planning and abortion services in Indian medical schools that play a key role in medical education and service delivery. This study presents the findings of baseline assessment across nine schools in two states and one union territory with objective to assess, identify the gaps and improve the status of reproductive rights and evidence-based family planning and abortion services in Indian medical schools.

Methods: A convergent parallel mixed methods study was conducted in nine medical schools in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Chandigarh a Union territory in India from October 2018 to June 2019.

A simple, accurate, and robust reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method was developed and validated for the quantification of Baclofen in rat plasma. The method demonstrated high degree of linearity (r = 0.9936) across a concentration range of 10-50 μg/mL.

Oncogenic mutations in KRAS are present in ~95% of patients diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and are considered the initiating event of pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN) precursor lesions. While it is well established that KRAS mutations drive the activation of oncogenic kinase cascades during pancreatic oncogenesis, the effects of oncogenic KRAS signaling on regulation of phosphatases during this process is not fully appreciated. Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A) has been implicated in suppressing KRAS-driven cellular transformation and low PP2A activity is observed in PDAC cells compared to non-transformed cells, suggesting that suppression of PP2A activity is an important step in the overall development of PDAC.

Enzymatic interesterification of perilla seed oil and palm stearin: A sustainable approach to develop a novel zero-trans-fat margarine rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

The study focuses on developing a novel perilla seed oil (PeO)-based polyunsaturated fatty acid-rich margarine fat analogue using enzymatic interesterification. PeO is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, however, has limited application due to susceptibility to oxidative and thermal degradation. Moreover, low consumption of omega-3 fatty acids in modern diets serves as a major cause for increased prevalence of cardiovascular diseases.

A woman in her twenties, with a non-consanguineous marriage, presented to the dermatology clinic with asymptomatic lesions on her face, neck, trunk, and extremities for the past 12 years. The general physical and systemic examination was unremarkable. Purpose: High-grade appendiceal adenocarcinomas (HGAA) with peritoneal metastases (PMs) are associated with poor survival. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a novel treatment approach for unresectable HGAA-PM. However, its influence on immunogenomic profiles has not yet been fully explored.
