Historically, it was thought that healthy humans predominantly described their breathing as a sense of increased work or effort (W/E) during maximal exercise. MES is a unique technology for lowering the atmospheric CO as well as CO in the biogas, and also simultaneously convert them to renewable bioenergy, such as biomethane.

We previously showed that the loss of either Fabp5 or calnexin causes resistance to the induction of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in mice, an animal model of multiple sclerosis (MS). Here we show that brain endothelial cells lacking either Fabp5 or calnexin have an increased abundance of cell surface CD200 and soluble CD200 (sCD200) as well as decreased T-cell adhesion.

Objective: The objective of this scoping review is to identify strategies in the literature that may increase the accessibility of health professional programs for students with disabilities.

Introduction: The number of students with disabilities in health professional programs is increasing. However, since students with disabilities experience barriers to education, their retention rates are potentially lower and their attrition rates are potentially higher compared with their non-disabled peers.

The impacts of COVID-19 on older adults in Uganda and Ethiopia: Perspectives from non-governmental organization staff and volunteers.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a substantial impact on older adults, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). To support older adults during this time, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) coordinated programs to help provide for basic needs related to food and water security and healthcare. This research explores the attitudes, perceptions and experiences of NGO staff and volunteers who provided support to older adults in SSA in rural East Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Uncovering the Role of Inflammation with Asphyxia in the Newborn.

The etiology of perinatal brain injury is multifactorial, but exposure to perinatal hypoxiaischemia (HI) is a major underlying factor. This review discusses the role of exposure to infection/inflammation in the evolution of HI brain injury, changes in immune responsiveness to subsequent inflammatory challenges after HI and modulation of neural outcomes with interaction between perinatal HI and inflammatory insults. The authors critically assess the clinical and preclinical evidence for the neuroprotective efficacy of therapeutic hypothermia and other anti-inflammatory treatments for inflammation-sensitized HI injury.
