This article highlights a client with sensorineural hearing loss reported after 2 days of 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccination. The audiological evaluations suggest unilateral hearing loss which recovered after the treatment. This article focuses on spreading awareness about the complications after vaccination and the importance of treatment.

It is accepted that a pediatric cochlear implant recipient may require one or two revision procedures during their lifetime. The indication of RIS can be due to a multitude of causes like trauma, device failure (hard failure or soft failure), infection at the implant site, electrode extrusion, device migration, magnet migration, and upgradation in the technology.

Objectives: Cochlear implantation does wonders for children suffering from severe to profound hearing loss, especially when the child is less than 12 months of age. However, most studies indicate that detection and implantation are done well beyond that age, owing to poor socioeconomic status, parental education, and income.
