Article Synopsis
  • This systematic review assesses the effectiveness of direct and indirect immunofluorescence in diagnosing oral lesions, comparing their performance to conventional diagnostic methods.
  • The review analyzed data from 37 studies published between January 15, 2024, and May 15, 2024, finding that direct immunofluorescence (DIF) generally showed higher sensitivity and specificity than indirect immunofluorescence.
  • The findings indicate that DIF is a more reliable diagnostic tool for conditions like pemphigus vulgaris and mucous membrane pemphigoid, suggesting that its use, possibly alongside indirect immunofluorescence, can improve the evaluation of oral health issues.

In this paper, we aim to investigate the influence of the Covid-19 on the behavior of the S&P 1200 Shariah and non-Shariah sectoral indices over the period from 1st October 2010 to 29th October 2020. We contribute to the global literature by examining the financial impact of the Covid-19 on the Shariah and non-Shariah sectoral indices. We find that the S&P 1200 Shariah Communication, consumer staples, financials, healthcare, industrials, IT, materials, and utility sectors earn higher average returns than their counterpart sectoral indices during the Covid-19 period.

A novel water soluble flocculant AC-g-P(DMC-MACPPC) was synthesized by free radical polymerization of [2-(methacryloyloxy) ethyl] trimethylammonium chloride (DMC) and 4-methacryloyl 1-cyclopentyl piperazinium chloride (MACPPC), grafted on to acryloyl chitosan (AC). The grafting of copolymer was confirmed by DRS-UV, FTIR, NMR, Raman, XRD and XPS spectral techniques. The AC-g-P(DMC-MACPPC) exhibits higher flocculation efficiency towards harvesting of C.

A facile one-pot synthesis of novel steroidal dispiro-indenoquinoxaline pyrrolidines via multicomponent-[3+2]-cycloaddition of azomethine ylides in ionic liquid is described. The structure of cycloadduct is confirmed by IR, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR, high resolution mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis.

Flocculation is one of the most widely applied techniques for water treatment. Flocculants based on natural polymer has received more attention due to their eco-friendliness in recent years. New water soluble N-methyl piperazinium chloride grafted chitosan flocculant (chitosan-g-N-MPC) was successfully synthesized and thoroughly characterized using FTIR, NMR and powder X-ray diffraction analytical techniques.
