Complete traumatic dorsal spondyloptosis with no neurological involvement is so rare due to the inherent stability of the thoracic spine, that only 2 other cases are reported in literature. A 31-year male with history of fall, and normal neurological examination was noted to have grade 5 dislocation at D7-D8, with locking of D7-8 bodies and expanded canal due to pedicle fractures accommodating the displaced spinal cord. As the excessive manipulation to achieve reduction was deemed too risky to be worthy, it was decided to do in-situ fixation without reduction.

Anterior intradural extramedullary meningiomas are intimidating, especially in the thoracic spine due to the spinal cord impeding conventional surgical corridor, restricted space, and precarious cord vascularity. Aluminum (Al), prevalent in the crust of the Earth, jeopardizes plant health in acidic soils, hindering root growth and overall development. In this study, we first analysed the Al- and pH- tolerance of the TLL1 strain (POT1; NRRL:68252) and investigated the potential for enhancing plant resilience under Al-rich acidic soil conditions. Our research illustrates the extraordinary tolerance of POT1 to both high Al concentrations and acidic conditions, showcasing its potential to alleviate Al-induced stress in plants.
