Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are a class of materials that have received significant attention in recent years due to their unique properties and potential applications. CNCs are extracted from plant fibers and possess high strength, stiffness, and biocompatibility, making them attractive materials for use in various fields such as biomedical engineering, renewable energy, and nanotechnology. This provides an in-depth discussion of the extraction, characterization, and promising applications of CNCs.

Stereo microscopic analysis showed that plastic fibres had a dominant presence, fragments were less abundant, whereas fewer films could be detected in indoor and outdoor air. The atmospheric deposition of microplastics outdoors observed 465 ± 27 particles/m/day in PM and 12104 ± 665 and 13833 ± 1152 particles/m/day in PM in quartz and PTFE, respectively during the post-monsoon months.

Objective: Remote investigation and monitoring have gained importance in ambulatory practice. A home-based fecal calprotectin (FC) test has been developed where the sample is processed and analyzed at home through a smartphone application. We aimed to assess the use of standard ELISA (sFC) versus home-based (hFC) FC testing in a general pediatric gastroenterology clinic.

Alternatively, Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications, Version 2 (MERRA-2), is an atmospheric reanalysis data used for estimating PM. MERRA-2 does not explicitly measure PM but rather follows an empirical model.

Crop residues are being targeted as a bioenergy resource as they are otherwise burned on-field, leading to significant pollutant emissions. But estimating their bioenergy potential is problematic because of broad assumptions about their surplus fractions.

Alternate-day 24-h integrated bulk PM samples were collected during 2019 along with on-site meteorological parameters. Annual average PM concentrations were 67 ± 46 µg m, 54 ± 47 µg m, and 30 ± 24 µg m at Mesra, Bhopal, and Mysuru, respectively.

The concentrations of 15 key elements ranged between 0.

In the fused ring system of the title mol-ecule, CHNO, the conformation of the central di-hydro-pyridine ring is inter-mediate between boat and envelope with the N and the opposite C atoms lying out of the basal plane. The conformations of terminal rings are close to envelope, with the atoms substituted by two methyl groups as the flaps. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into helical chains.

Among the biotic constraints that limit the productivity of maize, the recent invasion of fall armyworm (FAW) in India is a concern. The first line of strategy available for FAW management is to evaluate and exploit resistant genotypes for inclusion in an IPM schedule.

Little is known about the biological function of TECPR2, and there are currently no available disease-modifying therapies for this disease. Here we describe implementation of an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) exon-skipping strategy targeting c.

In the title compound, C15H18N2O5, the meth-oxy-phenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 84.70 (12)° with the mean plane of the tetra-hydro-pyrimidin-2(1H)-one ring. Both the pyran and tetra-hydro-pyrimidin-2(1H)-one rings have distorted envelope conformations with the carboxyl-ate-substituted C atom as the flap.

The optimized molecular structure, vibrational frequencies, corresponding vibrational assignments of (E)-5-benzylidene-2-thioxothiazolidine-4-one (E5BTTO) have been investigated experimentally and theoretically based on Density Functional Theory (DFT) approach. The FT-Raman and FT-IR spectra of E5BTTO were recorded in solid phase. Theoretical calculations were performed at the DFT level using the Gaussian 03 program.

The experimental and theoretical vibrational frequencies of a newly synthesized compound, namely 1-(quinolin-3-yl)piperidin-2-ol (QPPO) are analyzed. The experimental FT-IR (4000-400 cm(-1)) and FT-Raman (4000-100 cm(-1)) of the molecule in solid phase have been recorded. The optimized molecular structure, vibrational assignments of QPPO have been investigated experimentally and theoretically using Gaussian03W software package.
