Climate change is aggravating hunger, which is miserable in Sub-Saharan African nations like Ghana. Yet evidence of the effect of climatic variables on hunger, particularly multidimensional food security, is less illuminated in Ghana. Moreover, the decoupling effect of renewable energy on emissions and food security is rare in the Ghanaian context.

Chilli is an indispensable food item in the daily life of humans but it is affected by many insects, so various pesticides, including spiromesifen, are applied to chilli crops to protect this crop from insect infestation. However, the use of pesticides poses environmental and health issues. These issues have raised the demand for pesticide-free chillies among consumers.

The current study delved into an extensive analysis of multi-year observations on PM to have trends at various time scales in Delhi, India. High-resolution ground observations from all 37 monitoring stations from 2015 to 2022 were used. This study used non-parametric generalized additive model (GAM) based smooth-trend and Theil-Sen slope estimator techniques to analyze temporal trends and variations.

The study was done to determine additive, maternal and common permanent environmental effects and best-suited model for some production traits using six univariate animal models that differed in the (co)variance components fitted to assess the importance of maternal effect using likelihood ratio test in Murrah buffaloes. Data from 614 Murrah buffaloes related to production traits were collected from history pedigree sheets maintained at the buffalo farm, Department of Livestock Production and Management (LPM), LUVAS, Hisar. The production traits under this study were 305 days milk yield (305DMY), peak yield (PY), lactation length (LL), dry period (DP), lactation milk yield (LMY) and wet average (WA).

A series of six univariate animal models were employed to calculate estimates of (co)variance components and heritability for first lactation reproduction traits. Among these models, Model 2 was identified as the best fit for age at first calving (AFC) and calving interval (CI), while Model 1 proved optimal for service period (SP) and conception rate (CR).

The influence of solar forcing and Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCR) ionization on the global distribution of clouds is investigated using 42 years ERA-5 data (1979-2020). In the mid-latitudes over Eurasia, GCR and cloudiness are negatively correlated, which argues against the ionization theory of enhanced cloud droplet nucleation due to increased GCR during minima in the solar cycle. In the tropics, the solar cycle and cloudiness are positively correlated in regional Walker circulations below 2 km altitude.

In this paper, the impact of sudden suspension of human activities on air pollution was analyzed by studying the change in satellite retrieved NO concentrations and top-down NOx emission over the urban and rural areas around Delhi.
