Objective: To estimate frailty prevalence and its relationship with the socio-economic and regional factors and health care outcomes.
Methods: In this study, participants from the harmonized Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia for the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI-DAD) were included. The frailty index (FI) was calculated using a 32-variable deficit model, with a value of ≥ 25% considered as frail.
Objective: Statin monotherapy for dyslipidemia is limited by adverse effects and limited effectiveness in certain subgroups like metabolic syndrome. Add-on therapy with an agent with a known safety profile may improve clinical outcomes, and virgin coconut oil (VCO) may be the candidate agent for improving the cardiometabolic profile. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of add-on VCO with atorvastatin in dyslipidemia in adults.

Although our understanding of loop formation and maintenance is rapidly improving, much less is known about the mechanisms driving changes in looping and the impact of differential looping on gene transcription. One limitation has been a lack of well-powered differential looping data sets.

There are rare reports of cardiac arrest during surgery due to manipulation of the tumor triggering secondary necrosis and hyperkalemia.
Case Presentation: This case describes a very preterm infant with a SCT who develops spontaneous preoperative tumor lysis syndrome (TLS).

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and senescent cells have emerged as key contributors to its pathogenesis. Senescent cells exhibit cell cycle arrest and secrete a range of proinflammatory factors, termed the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), which promotes tissue dysfunction and exacerbates CVD progression. Omics technologies, specifically transcriptomics and proteomics, offer powerful tools to uncover and define the molecular signatures of senescent cells in cardiovascular tissue.

Moreover, NAFLD may be an independent risk factor associated with higher cardiovascular (CVD) morbidity and mortality. Further studies are needed to assess whether NAFLD needs to be included in the atherosclerotic risk score algorithms or whether patients with NAFLD need to be screened early on to assess their CVD risk especially since imaging such as positron emission tomography can be used to assess both NAFLD and CV disease at the same time.

Little research has examined this issue among people living with HIV (PWH) who inject drugs, despite high stigmatization of this population. No research has examined this issue in the context of Russia.

To execute its function inside the cell, pre-miR-675 is folded into a particular conformation, which aids in its interaction with several other biological molecules. However, the exact folding dynamics of pre-miR-675 and its protein-binding motifs are currently unknown.

LF is affecting human beings and its economically important livestock leading to a crucial contributor to morbidities and disabilities. The current scenario has been blowing up alarms of attention to develop potent therapeutics and strategies having efficiency against the adult stage of filarial nematodes.

MP (<5mm in size) can enter marine environments such as mangrove forests in a variety of ways, interfering with the health of the environment and organisms. Mangroves are now getting increasingly exposed to microplastic contamination due to their proximity to human activities and their position as critical transitional zones between land and sea.

Here, we have explored the efficiency of lncRNAs and mRNAs in producing various splice variants, given the number of exons in humans and mice. Intriguingly, lncRNAs produce more splice variants per exon, referred to as Transcript Complexity, than mRNAs.

However, in this Letter, the phenomenon of replica symmetry breaking is reported in intensity fluctuations of a rarely used colloidal plasmonic random laser (RL) illumination. Triangular nanosilver scatter particles produced incoherent RL action when used in a dimethylformamide (DMF) environment in a Rhodamine-6G gain medium.
