Gender, culture, and migration: A qualitative study of the socioeconomic challenges facing Afghan women refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The research explores Afghan refugee women's challenges in accessing education, employment, and legal rights in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It seeks to inform policy changes to improve their socioeconomic circumstances and mitigate these hardships. The study employs qualitative methodologies, utilizing interviews, observation, and document analysis to capture rich, in-depth narratives from three Afghan refugee women.

Rethinking efficacy: People's perception of ritual healing and trance religious practices at shrines in Pakistan.

Ritual healing is one of the core topics in anthropology and is also important in psychology. The key aim of this study is to investigate and explore the understanding of religious perspectives of ritual healing and trance practices in Muslim shrines in Pakistan. Several studies have been conducted to highlight the shrines in Muslim countries to demonstrate the Sufi tradition in Islam, where the followers seek healing and use the Sufi saints as intermediaries for the fulfillment of their desires.

3D Pd/Co core-shell nanoneedle arrays as a high-performance cathode catalyst layer for AAEMFCs.

A novel cathode architecture using vertically aligned Co nanoneedle arrays as an ordered support for application in alkaline anion-exchange membrane fuel cells (AAEMFCs) has been developed. The Co nanoneedle arrays were directly grown on a stainless steel sheet a hydrothermal reaction and then a Pd layer was deposited on the surface of the Co nanoneedle arrays using a vacuum sputter-deposition method to form Pd/Co nanoneedle arrays. After transferring the Pd/Co nanoneedle arrays to an AAEM, a cathode catalyst layer was formed.

A novel IrNi@PdIr/C core-shell electrocatalyst with enhanced activity and durability for the hydrogen oxidation reaction in alkaline anion exchange membrane fuel cells.

Herein, a novel non-platinum core-shell catalyst, namely, IrNi@PdIr/C was prepared via a galvanic replacement reaction; it exhibits enhanced hydrogen oxidation activity and excellent stability under alkaline conditions. Electrochemical experiments demonstrated that the mass and specific activities at 50 mV of IrNi@PdIr/C are 2.1 and 2.

Cultural and Religious Perspective on the Sufi Shrines.

This paper explains the Sufi shrines which hold great importance in Pakistani society. The Shrines inhabit a vital position in the cultural and social as well as religious and culture life of rituals, Saints, traditional belief, sounds, trance, dance, music in ethnic healing, and spiritual illness/disease. It is not only a place of belief and devotion based on Sufi shrines but a place where Muslims and non-Muslim take part in happiness activities together.
