A rare presentation of penile keloids after traditional circumcision: Case report.

Introduction: Only few cases of penile keloids have been reported in the literature. There have been no published reports on penile keloids following traditional circumcision in Africa.

Case Report: We present a case of a 13-year-old boy with penile keloids following traditional circumcision.

Previous multiple abdominal surgeries: a valid contraindication to abdominal free flap breast reconstruction?

Versatility of the anterolateral thigh free flap: the four seasons flap.

We decided to review our experience with this flap and study the reasons for this trend.

Methods: A retrospective review of all anterolateral thigh free flaps performed at Addenbrooke's University Hospital from the available charts was carried out.

An algorithmic approach to abdominal flap breast reconstruction in patients with pre-existing scars--results from a single surgeon's experience.

Background: Breast reconstruction using the TRAM flap and its variations in patients with pre-existing abdominal scars is controversial. In our practice, abdominal scars are considered not to be a contraindication for such reconstruction. We therefore reviewed our experience and reconstructive strategies adopted in such patients over a 7-year period.

Use of anterolateral thigh and lateral arm fasciocutaneous free flaps in lateral skull base reconstruction.

Lateral skull base defects following tumor ablation are ideally reconstructed with microvascular free tissue transfer. Although the rectus abdominis free flap is the workhorse in skull base reconstruction, it has a number of drawbacks. Anecdotal reports have indicated that fasciocutaneous free flaps may be useful alternatives in selected cases.
