Background And Aims: We aimed to assess the quality of bowel preparation in a matched cohort of patients actively using and not using glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) in a large health system in the United States.
Methods: We performed a retrospective review of adult patients undergoing colonoscopy in 22 endoscopy units across 18 sites in the United States.
Results: Our cohort comprised 6235 patients (3344 case patients and 2891 control patients).

As clinical trial complexity has increased over the past decade, using electronic methods to simplify recruitment and data management have been investigated. In this study, the Optum Digital Research Network (DRN) has demonstrated the use of electronic source (eSource) data to ease subject identification, recruitment burden, and used data extracted from electronic health records (EHR) to load to an electronic data capture (EDC) system. This study utilized electronic Informed Consent, electronic patient reported outcomes (SF-12) and included three sites using 3 different EHR systems.

This study aimed to build and independently validate a nomogram to estimate individualized survival probabilities for patients with newly diagnosed GBM, using data from 2 independent NRG Oncology Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) clinical trials.

We found that BK viremia is common at our center: total cases 26.7%, cases during first year 21.

Materials And Methods: We retrospectively searched for the records of patients diagnosed with gout among all those in our stone registry. A matched case cohort of stone formers was generated from our registry who had the same age, gender and body mass index.

Most clinical information systems have leveraged relational databases to identify patient cohorts. However, as the number of criteria increase for cohort selection, there is an exponential rise in the query complexity. Nevertheless, by identifying criteria a priori, assigning a Boolean value and aggregating the results into a bit array database field, we can reduce the complexity of such cohort patient selection to a linear model dependent only the number of patients and criteria.
