In the mirabegron (MIR) synthesis, the N-nitroso mirabegron (NNM) is obtained during synthetic process of MIR; water is being used in reaction under acidic condition. Nitrite source is from water, and secondary amine source is from MIR as it has secondary amine; NNM is generated as an impurity during the synthesis of MIR. The presence of NNM in MIR could potentially affect its effectiveness.

d-Glucose has been identified as an efficient C1 synthon in the synthesis of benzimidazoles from -phenylenediamines via an oxidative cyclization strategy. Isotopic studies with C-d-glucose and DO unambiguously confirmed the source of methine. The notable features of this method include the following: broad functional group tolerance, a biorenewable methine source, excellent reaction yields, a short reaction time, water as an environmentally benign solvent, and the synthesis of vitamin component on the gram scale.

Graphite electrode was modified using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), chitosan (CS), glutaraldehyde (GTA) and DNA nanostructures (nsDNA). DNA nanostructures of 50 nm in size were produced from single DNA template sequence using a simple two step procedure and were confirmed using TEM and AFM analysis. The modified electrode was applied to the electrochemical detection of aromatic compounds using EIS.
