This study outlines the results of an investigation of a large outbreak at King Saud Medical City (KSMC), a quaternary hospital in Saudi Arabia. We identified 122 cases of C. auris (colonization, 74; infection, 48) from June 2021 to June 2022.

Commercially available customized prostheses perform better but are prohibitively expensive. We evaluate the performance of a locally developed, low-cost customized PMMA cranioplasty prosthesis.

Impact of home confinement during COVID-19 pandemic on sleep parameters in Parkinson's disease.

An assessment of reported adverse drug reactions in a Tertiary Care Hospital in South India: A retrospective cross-sectional study.

Objective: The primary objective of this study was to assess the causality of ADRs using World Health Organization-Uppsala Monitoring Centre (WHO-UMC), Naranjo and Liverpool ADR Causality Assessment Tool (LCAT). Other primary objective was to assess the agreement between the WHO-UMC criterion, Naranjo algorithm and LCAT. The secondary objective was to assess the reported adverse drug reactions in a tertiary care hospital in South India.

Immobilization of horseradish peroxidase enzyme on nanoporous titanium dioxide electrodes and its structural and electrochemical characterizations.

Hierarchically ordered, honeycomb-like nanoporous TiO2 electrodes are prepared by a simple electrochemical anodization process using ammonium fluoride dissolved in ethylene glycol as an electrolytic medium. Formation of hexagonally arranged nanopores along with the tubular structure and anatase crystalline phase of TiO2 is confirmed by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. Further, these nanoporous TiO2 electrodes are employed as a substrate for enzyme (horseradish peroxidase, HRP) immobilization in an attempt to enhance the electron transport across the semiconductor electrode-electrolyte interface.

Predicted equations for ventilatory function among Kuching (Sarawak, Malaysia) population.

Spirometry data of 869 individuals (males and females) between the ages of 10 to 60 years were analyzed. The analysis yielded the following conclusions: 1. The pattern of Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume in One Second (FEV1) for the selected subgroups seems to be gender dependant: in males, the highest values were seen in the Chinese, followed by the Malay, and then the Dayak; in females, the highest values were seen in the Chinese, followed by the Dayak, and then the Malay.
