Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the results of monotherapy (photodynamic therapy) and combined therapy (photo-dynamic therapy with posterior sub-Tenon triamcinolone acetonide) in age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Materials And Methods: Forty eyes from forty patients with diagnosed neovascular AMD were enrolled in this study during March-2005 - October-2008. All patients were grouped in either the study or the control group.
Purpose: To evaluate corneal viscoelastic and intraocular pressure (IOP) changes measured by an ocular response analyzer (ORA) after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Setting: Yeditepe University Department of Ophthalmology, Istanbul, Turkey.
Methods: Fifty-one eyes scheduled for cataract surgery were included in the study.
Purpose: To use anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) to evaluate anterior chamber depth (ACD) and angle after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Setting: Department of Ophthalmology, Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey.
Methods: Forty-seven eyes (37 patients) had uneventful phacoemulsification and IOL implantation through a clear corneal incision.

Methods: The study was performed in 40 patients. Thirty of the 40 were type 2 diabetic patients classified into three groups according to Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study Group (ETDRS) criteria: 10 with mild-moderate nonproliferative retinopathy (group 1), 10 with moderate-severe nonproliferative retinopathy (group 2), and 10 with proliferative retinopathy (group 3).
