Iron pill gastritis has been shown to be associated with superficial gastric erosion and deposition of iron in lamina propria and gastric antral glands. However, iron absorption in gastric parietal and chief cells is rare. We present a case of a 62-year-old man with iron deficiency anemia.

Morphological changes can be subtle or not identified at all on the hematoxylin and eosin stain. To evaluate the Masson's trichrome stain and immunohistochemical stains, desmin and myoglobin, in detecting acute myocardial ischemia/infarction in autopsy myocardium.

Case Presentation: Here we report the case of a 58-year-old African American male with an incidentally discovered lesion in the head of the pancreas. The specimen from his pancreaticoduodectomy contained a protuberant, encapsulated mass, exhibiting microscopic features most consistent with localized/unicentric Castleman's disease.
The first reported cases of colonic carcinoma arising within a diverticulum are documented. Although colonic diverticulitis and cancer are common diseases in patients over 60 years of age, cancer arising within a diverticulum is rare. Only close histopathologic scrutiny can differentiate inflammatory changes from neoplasia.

Of 21 patients with no evidence of distant metastases at initial operation, 11 showed nm23-H1 allelic deletions (including 1 homozygous deletion); 10 had no nm23-H1 deletions. After median follow-up of 25 months, distant metastases had developed in 8 of 11 (73%) patients with nm23-H1 deletions but in only 2 of 10 (20%) without nm23-H1 deletions (p less than 0.

We describe a 62-year-old man with diabetes mellitus and peripheral vascular insufficiency, with an ulcer on his foot which led to staphylococcal septicemia, endocarditis, and disseminated intravascular coagulation. All these factors contributed to thromboembolic occlusion of the terminal arteries and veins supplying the stomach, causing gastric infarction.
