Objective: To identify rational dosage regimen for pazufloxacin methanesulphonate injection through a pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) study.
Methods: Pazufloxacin methanesulphonate at the doses of 300 mg and 500 mg were injected to 24 healthy volunteers. The plasma concentrations of pazufloxacin were measured by RPHPLC-UV.

Methods: Qualified patients were enrolled and screened for bacterial, atypical, and viral pathogens by sputum and/or blood culturing, and by antibody seroconversion test. Antibiotic treatment and patient outcome were also assessed.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of domestic sparfloxacin.
Methods: A multicentre randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted to compare sparfloxacin versus ofloxacin in the treatment of acute bacterial infections. 58 patients received 200 mg of sparfloxacin once daily intravenous drip and 61 patients received 200 mg of ofloxacin twice daily intravenous drip.
