Objectives: Diabetes prevention programs (DPPs) targeting dietary and physical activity behaviour change have been shown to decrease the incidence of type 2 diabetes; however, a more thorough reporting of intervention characteristics is needed to expedite the translation of such programs into different communities. In this scoping review, we aim to synthesize how DPPs are being reported and implemented.

Methods: A scoping review using Arkey and O'Malley methods was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis.

Preventive measures to reduce infection are needed to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for a possible endemic phase. Current prophylactic vaccines are highly effective to prevent disease but lose their ability to reduce viral transmission as viral evolution leads to increasing immune escape. Long-term proactive public health policies must therefore complement vaccination with available nonpharmaceutical interventions aiming to reduce the viral transmission risk in public spaces.

To explore the potential of expanded healthy donor-derived allogeneic CD4 and CD8 double-negative cells (DNT) as a novel cellular immunotherapy for leukemia patients. Clinical-grade DNTs from peripheral blood of healthy donors were expanded and their antileukemic activity and safety were examined using flow cytometry-based killing assays and xenograft models against AML patient blasts and healthy donor-derived hematopoietic cells. Mechanisms by which c-Myc (Myc) amplification confers aggressive medulloblastoma phenotypes are poorly defined. Here, we show using orthotopic models that high Myc expression promotes cell migration/invasion and induces metastatic tumors, which recapitulate aggressive histologic features of Myc-amplified primary human medulloblastoma. Using ChIP-chip analysis, we identified cell migration and adhesion genes, including Tsp-1/THBS1, ING4, PVRL3, and PPAP2B, as Myc-bound loci in medulloblastoma cells.

In non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), molecular profiling of tumors has led to the identification of gene expression patterns that are associated with specific phenotypes and prognosis.
