Providing HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis to men who have sex with men and transgender women in hospitals and community-led clinics in Thailand: acceptance, patterns of use, trends in risk behaviors, and HIV incidence.

From May 2015 to June 2018, we conducted a PrEP demonstration project at two hospitals and four community-led clinics in Bangkok and Pattaya. HIV-negative, MSM and TGW aged ≥18 years old, reporting sex without a condom, were offered daily PrEP. Participants received HIV testing and completed a computer-based questionnaire at enrollment, 6 and 12 months.
