Objective: The study investigates users' tendency to access decision support (DS) systems as a function of the correlation between the DS information and the information users already have, the ongoing interaction with such systems, and the effect of correlated information on subjective trust.

Background: Previous research has shown inconclusive findings regarding whether people prefer information that correlates with information they already have. Some studies conclude that individuals recognize the value of noncorrelated information, given its unique content, while others suggest that users favor correlated information as it aligns with existing evidence.

We demonstrate a transnationally situated dialogue as a method to bring ethnographic and historical research in Brazil, East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda), India, Russia and Spain into conversation to show three cancer epistemics sites (research, detection, and care access) where the politics of cancer epistemics are at play. First, in the field of research, we show how certain ways of knowing, and certain questions about and interests in cancer, are privileged over others. Using examples from Spain and East Africa, we highlight how a shift towards microbiological and high-technology research has outpriced many more locally grounded research agendas, ignoring questions of industrial and capital accountability in cancer aetiology.

In patients with functional disorders of the stomach and chronic gastroduodenitis, the content of cellular bioregulaters (prostaglandins) in the blood and gastric mucosa was abnormal. The revealed alterations may give rise to a reduction of mucosal resistance because of cytoprotection weakening and derangement of the control over gastric secretion. The data obtained make great contributions to our concepts of the pathogenesis of gastroduodenal pathology and children and provide evidence for new approaches to its prevention and treatment.

The importance of the platelet count and intactness for contact Hageman's factor-dependent activation of blood plasma kallikrein has been demonstrated. The degree of kallikrein activation was in agreement with the count of platelets contained by the sample. Kallikrein activation was also found to be potentiated by the membrane fraction of washed platelets and of those destroyed by freezing and thawing.
