Objective: To report the process of organization and construction of an information technology structure named Nursing Activities Score (NAS) Cloud Technology®.

Method: This project was based on the life cycle theory and has enabled the development of technological production through software engineering.

Results: The NAS Cloud Technology® was developed for remote and collaborative access on a website hosted by Google Sites® and protected in a business environment by the certified security and data protection devices Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).

Presentation of the computerized structure to implement, in a university hospital in the South of Brazil, the Patients Classification System of Perroca, which categorizes patients according to the care complexity. In this paper, the authors share their experience related to graduate nursing programs offered by distributed learning (DL) in Canada and Brazil. Although degrees offered by DL are often the subject of criticism, the authors' experience has been that learning outcomes have been very good. Nevertheless, a number of challenges and opportunities have been encountered including those associated with flexibility of the program, delivering practice courses at a distance, facilitating interaction, faculty workload and preparation and student support, Newer technologies that may assist in this effort are identified.

Chronic kidney disease usually presents a variety of severe and chronic complications forcing patients to look for emergency services. This descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted to get to know the profile of the chronic renal patient with complications, who looks for emergency health services. The sample encompassed 139 patients, who were treated in the Hospital de Clínicas emergency service in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

The process of nursing is an assertive solving problem approach to the identification and care of patients' problems as well as an instrument of education in Nursing. At the CCU, due to the complexity of care, constant changes in the clinical situation of patients and the elevated amount of information, the informatics is seen as a way to the development of the nursing process and consequently improvement of the quality of care. Therefore, this methodological study and technological production was developed with 05 nurses of the CCU aiming describing the development of the nursing computerized process in the CCU from the ICNP Beta 2 and demonstrating the contributions to the improvement of nursing care.

The present paper is the result of an experiment conducted as part of the Nursing: basic and advanced life support course, which was offered as a semi-online course using the virtual learning environment called Learning Space. The virtual learning environment optimizes classroom dynamics, since in the classroom setting, practical activities may be privileged; besides, learning is customized as students may access the environment whenever and wherever they wish.
