Implementation strategies of fall prevention interventions in hospitals: a systematic review.

Background: The effectiveness of implementing fall prevention interventions (FPI) among hospitalised adults exhibits variability. Our review explored implementation strategies for FPIs, how these strategies are operationalised and their impact on fall rates and adherence.

Methods: Databases were searched up to October 2024 for studies reporting the implementation of FPIs in hospitalised adults.

The Cardiac Care Bridge randomized trial in high-risk older cardiac patients: A mixed-methods process evaluation.

Aim: To evaluate healthcare professionals' performance and treatment fidelity in the Cardiac Care Bridge (CCB) nurse-coordinated transitional care intervention in older cardiac patients to understand and interpret the study results.

Design: A mixed-methods process evaluation based on the Medical Research Council Process Evaluation framework.

Methods: Quantitative data on intervention key elements were collected from 153 logbooks of all intervention patients.

Objectives: Research specifically addressing implementation strategies regarding nursing guidelines is limited. The objective of this review was to provide an overview of strategies used to implement nursing guidelines in all nursing fields, as well as the effects of these strategies on patient-related nursing outcomes and guideline adherence. Ideally, the findings would help guideline developers, healthcare professionals and organizations to implement nursing guidelines in practice.

Effects of de-implementation strategies aimed at reducing low-value nursing procedures: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: In the last decade, there is an increasing focus on detecting and compiling lists of low-value nursing procedures. However, less is known about effective de-implementation strategies for these procedures. Therefore, the aim of this systematic review was to summarize the evidence of effective strategies to de-implement low-value nursing procedures.
