Fish from the pike () genus are valued in gastronomy for their superior meat quality. However, they can cause allergic reactions in sensitive consumers. This work aimed to fill the gap in the detection of pike allergens using molecular-biological techniques.

Lymphocyte subpopulations: a potential predictor of a response in patients with immune thrombocytopenia.

Objectives: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune bleeding disorder caused by increased platelet destruction and altered production. Despite the well-described pathophysiological background of immune dysregulation, current treatment guidelines consist of monotherapy with different drugs, with no tool to predict which patient is more suitable for each therapeutic modality.

Methods: In our study, we attempted to determine differences in the immune setting, comparing the patients' responses to administered therapy.

Ixazomib, Lenalidomide and Dexamethasone in Relapsed and Refractory Multiple Myeloma in Routine Clinical Practice: Extended Follow-Up Analysis and the Results of Subsequent Therapy.

Background: We confirmed the benefit of addition of ixazomib to lenalidomide and dexamethasone in patients with relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) in unselected real-world population. We report the final analysis for overall survival (OS), second progression free survival (PFS-2), and the subanalysis of the outcomes in lenalidomide (LEN) pretreated and LEN refractory patients.

Methods: We assessed 344 patients with RRMM, treated with IRD (N  =  127) or RD (N  = 217).
