Infectious healthcare waste (IHCW) poses a significant biohazard and public health risk. This study examines IHCW formation and influencing factors in Hungarian inpatient healthcare institutions. Factors such as hospital type, regional location, indicators related to patient traffic, educational activity, patients of certain types of medical specialties, and healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) were examined.

Evaluating battery electric vehicle usage in the EU: A comparative study based on member state energy mixes.

The transport sector is undergoing a major transformation, as battery electric vehicles (BEV) are gaining ground. Therefore, assessing the sustainability aspects of their use is crucial to obtaining a clear picture of the sector. This article aims to meet this requirement by using European Union (EU) data for the period 2011 to 2021 and focuses not only on EU-27 aggregates but also on each member state separately.

Multiprocessor Neural Network in Healthcare.

A possible way of creating a multiprocessor artificial neural network is by the use of microcontrollers. The RISC processors' high performance and the large number of I/O ports mean they are greatly suitable for creating such a system. During our research, we wanted to see if it is possible to efficiently create interaction between the artifical neural network and the natural nervous system.
