The hand is an extremely rare site for giant cell tumor (GCT). There are only a few reported cases of GCT including the hand, and even fewer reporting involvement of phalanges. GCTs in small bones are typically more aggressive and have higher local recurrence and rate of metastasis in younger patients compared to long bone involvement, so the treatment is more clinically challenging in the hand.

Background And Objective: The posterior mediastinum is a potential space along the paravertebral sulci or between the posterior aspect of the pericardium and the vertebrae. This compartment is classically the most frequent location site of neurogenic tumors. Whereas neurofibroma and schwannoma are neurogenic tumors that commonly arise from peripheral nerves, sympathetic nerves are the origin of ganglioneuroma, neuroblastoma, ganglioneuroblastoma, and neuroectodermal cells closely associated with autonomic nerves are the origin of paragangliomas and pheochromocytomas.

Background: Nearly one-third of the patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) require surgical biopsy for a definite diagnosis. Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgical (VATS) biopsy has replaced open lung biopsy, but the number of biopsy required to achieve an accurate diagnose is controversial.

Objectives: Our study aims to show that a well-planned single VATS biopsy is as effective as multiple biopsies for the accurate diagnosis of ILD by reduced days of hospital stay.

Introduction: There are several studies in the literature about pathological fractures but almost no information about patients whose pathological fracture caused by a malignant lesion misdiagnosed and treated as a simple fracture. The aim of this study was to investigate patient and fracture characteristics, and outcomes in cases where fractures occurred in the presence of a malign pathology but were treated as simple fractures.

Patients And Methods: Cases of malign bone lesions between 2000 and 2020 were retrospectively reviewed.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical and radiological outcomes in a series of patients undergoing open wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) using tibial cancellous autograft harvested from the osteotomized medullary canal which is not reported in the literature before. Patients with medial compartment osteoarthritis were treated with OWHTO and tibial cancellous auto- grafting performed from the osteotomized medullary canal and used for bone void filling. Seventy patients (seventy-two knees) treated with OWHTO were analyzed.

Background: The use of anesthetics and analgesic drugs and techniques in combination yields a multimodal effect with increased efficiency. In this case series, we aimed to evaluate the anesthetic effect of the thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) and erector spinae plane block (ESPB) combination in patients, who underwent non-intubated video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (NIVATS).

Methods: Medical records of 16 patients, who underwent NIVATS for wedge resection under the combination of ESPB and TPVB were reviewed retrospectively.

Eosinophilic granuloma (EG) is the unifocal osseous form of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), which usually affects the skull and long bones. Although it most commonly affects the pediatric age group, it can rarely be seen in adults. Skeletal involvement is common in adult patients, but isolated rib involvement is extremely rare.

Aim: 18F-Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/computerized tomography (CT) is a valuable method in the diagnosis of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). But, some infections, particularly tuberculosis, are known to mimic cancer. We aimed to compare the FDG PET/CT findings of tuberculosis pleurisy (TP) and malignant mesothelioma and evaluate its role of differential diagnosis.

Coelomic cysts are uncommon benign cyctic lesions of the mediastinum. Complete resection of the cyst with surgical treatment is indicated depending on whether the patient is symptomatic or whether the cyst grows during follow-up, or whether the diagnosis is uncertain. Surgical treatment prevents complications, relieves symptoms, and establishes diagnosis.

Objective: It can be assumed that the progression of scoliosis in the juvenile period will increase the asymmetry in the rib cage, and thus will contribute to an increase in the breast asymmetry (BA) in the future. We are looking for answers to the questions; "How will the breasts look with respect to each other and what is the possibility of developing BA in the early follow-up period following the early surgical treatment and final fusion surgery of juvenile idiopathic scoliosis (JIS)?" For this reason, in this study, we aimed to evaluate the breast asymmetries of patients in the period after the final fusion.

Methods: Following growing rod treatment, final fusion was achieved in 12 females with JIS.

Angiosarcoma arising in a long-standing schwannoma is extremely rare and only a few cases were reported in the English literature. Besides tumors arising from vagus, sciatic or adrenal nerves, tumors growing on neck, foot or kidney were also described. To the best of our knowledge, in this article, we report the first mediastinal case occurring in longstanding schwannoma in a 53-year-old female patient.
