However, the effectiveness of exercise-based prehabilitation in patients undergoing CABG remains unknown.
Objective: The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the effects of exercise-based prehabilitation on functional exercise capacity, postoperative complications, anxiety, depression, self-efficacy, quality of life, length of hospital and intensive care unit stay, frailty, and endothelial function in patients undergoing CABG surgery.
This study identified the dental treatment modalities administered to patients undergoing dental procedures under deep sedation and examined potential relations among treatment types, age, gender and tooth types. This study protocol included data from 502 patients, including a total of 5141 teeth, who underwent dental procedures under deep sedation between October 2022 and October 2023. The dental treatments were categorized based on primary types and subtypes.

Rapid genome sequencing (RGS) offers a timely and cost-effective approach to diagnosis, aiding in early clinical management and reducing unnecessary interventions. This pilot study represents the inaugural use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) as a diagnostic instrument for critically ill neonatal and pediatric ICU patients in a Turkish hospital setting.

Single-limb exercises are a type of aeorobic exercise that aims to increase patient tolerance by reducing the workload of the respiratory system.
Objektives: The aim of our systematic review was to determine the effects of single-limb exercises on pulmonary function, dyspnea, fatigue, and muscle dysfunction in patients with COPD.
Objective: Inflammation plays a key role in the pathogenesis of postoperative atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. In this study, we aimed to investigate the changes in mean platelet volume and platelet values during the spring and autumn seasons in patients who underwent isolated coronary artery bypass graft surgery and the possible effect of these occurrences on postoperative atrial fibrillation.
Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent elective isolated coronary bypass surgery at our clinic in the spring and autumn months, between August 2020 and July 2022, were retrospectively included in this study.

The carbohydrate-binding protein Galectin-3 is increased in several inflammatory and fibrotic diseases and has recently been forwarded as a biomarker in these diseases. We aimed to define the role of serum Galectin-3 in children with CF by comparison with healthy subjects.

: Lymphovascular Invasion (LVI) and Perineural Invasion (PNI) represent undesirable but still realistic pathological features of rectal cancer, associated with poor prognosis and worse survival. The aim of this study is to assess the incidence of LVI and PNI in patients treated for rectal cancer and the impact of LVI and PNI on patient survival. : This retrospective single center observational study, conducted in the period of 2016-2019, includes patients with rectal cancer treated with/without long-course neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT).

While HBV prevalence is decreasing globally, the prevalence of HDV infection is rising in some parts mainly due to injection drug use, sexual transmission and immigration from high endemicity areas. Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean are among the regions with high rates of endemicity for HDV and the immigration from high endemicity areas to Central and Western Europe has changed the HDV epidemiology.
