Context: Osteonecrosis (ON) is bone death caused by inadequate blood supply and its optimal management remains uncertain.
Objective: We describe the outcomes of BP (pamidronate) treatment in our patients.
Design: Data regarding clinical, laboratory, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies, and bone mineral density measurements (BMD) were recorded before and one year after treatment (reevaluation).
Background/aims: Elevated intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) can lead to intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH) and, in severe cases, abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS) in patients with cirrhosis and ascites. Paracentesis reduces IAP and improves abdominal perfusion. Intra-abdominal hypertension can also trigger acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) in decompensated cirrhosis.

Understanding the molecular signaling pathways of colorectal cancer (CRC) can be accepted as the first step in treatment strategy. Permanent mTOR signaling activation stimulates the CRC process via various biological processes. It supplies the survival of CRC stem cells, tumorigenesis, morbidity, and decreased response to drugs in CRC pathogenesis.

Despite its rarity, there has been a rise in interest due to ongoing research and emerging therapy suggestions. In this multicenter, retrospective, cross-sectional study, the genetic characteristics and clinical data of twenty-one cases of genetically confirmed MCT8 deficiency were evaluated.

These methods not only provide accurate diagnoses but also promise to enhance operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization in clinical workflows. In the field of dental lesion detection, the application of deep learning models to various imaging techniques has gained significant prominence.

This study evaluated the intraoral and clinical findings of 43 OI cases in relation to genetic variants, aiming to contribute new insights into the roles of collagen and non-collagen genes in the oral-dental pathology of OI. Significant associations were found between OI variants and dental anomalies such as dentinogenesis imperfecta, enamel hypoplasia, taurodontism, and hypodontia.

The inherent limitations of chitosan, such as poor solubility at physiological pH, insufficient cellular uptake, and strong ionic interactions with pDNA, typically result in low transfection efficiency. To overcome these challenges, Tricine, a hydrophilic molecule containing a secondary amine group, was conjugated to chitosan.

Previous studies have shown an inverse relationship between the CAG repeat length and the transactivation function or expression level of the AR gene.
Objective: We aimed to investigate whether the AR CAG repeat polymorphism has any implications on pubertal delay.

Introduction: Proportional short stature is one of the most important features of Noonan Syndrome, and adult height often remains below the 3rd percentile. Although the pathophysiology of short stature in NS patients is not fully understood, it has been shown that GH treatment is beneficial in NS, and it significantly improves the height in respect to the results of short and long-term GH treatment.
Methods: In this study, the efficacy of GH therapy was evaluated in children and adolescents with Noonan syndrome who attained final height.
Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) is a prevalent disease that is often underdiagnosed and undertreated, leading to resulting in diminished health-related quality of life. The PEI questionnaire (PEI-Q), a patient-reported outcome questionnaire developed to diagnose and evaluate PEI, is available only in English. The study aimed to provide a Turkish translation of PEI-Q and validate its reliability and diagnostic performance in a Turkish-speaking population with PEI.

Semen samples were pooled and divided into ten groups: Control, RES10, RES20, RES40, CD10, CD20, CD40, RLC10, RLC20, and RLC40. The groups were pre-diluted with media containing the group-specific chemicals, followed by 15 min of incubation, dilution, and freezing.

Purpose: The study aims to investigate changes in tear function, meibomian glands and corneal endothelium in patients receiving systemic isotretinoin therapy.
Materials And Methods: This prospective study included 38 eyes from 38 patients (23 females and 15 males) treated with systemic isotretinoin (0.5-1 mg/kg/day) following the diagnosis of acne vulgaris.
Background/aim: Data on the prevalence of allergic diseases in children with proven drug allergies are limited. We aim to evaluate the frequency of allergic comorbidity in children with proven common drug allergies.
Materials And Methods: Children with drug hypersensitivity confirmed by diagnostic allergy tests at our center between January 2010 and December 2020 were screened retrospectively.
As natural predators, owls fly with astonishing stealth due to the serrated feather morphology that produces advantageous flow characteristics. Traditionally, these serrations are tailored for airfoil edges with simple two-dimensional patterns, limiting their effect on noise reduction while negotiating tradeoffs in aerodynamic performance. Conversely, the intricately structured wings of cicadas have evolved for effective flapping, presenting a potential blueprint for alleviating these aerodynamic limitations.

This study aimed to determine the bioaccessibility level of MDA in diet bars sold as healthy snacks in the market using in vitro gastrointestinal digestive model. In our study, 28 different diet bar samples were bought from markets in Istanbul.

The aim of this study was to identify the prevalence of endocrine and metabolic comorbidities observed during initial diagnosis and long-term follow-up in a nationwide cohort of pediatric CPG patients. A further aim was to highlight the difficulties associated with CPG management.

The clinical and biochemical manifestations of the disorder are diverse, ranging from varying degrees of anomalies of the external genitalia to life-threatening adrenal insufficiency. This multicenter study aimed to determine the demographics, biochemical, clinical, and genetic characteristics besides the current status of adult patients with CAH nationwide.

Methods: This retrospective observational multicenter study included patients from 17 pediatric endocrinology centers identified by "National Newborn Screening Program" (NNSP) who were born in 2015 and followed for 6 years. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory information of the cases were compiled through the database http://cedd.
Objective: It has been demonstrated that the composition of the follicular fluid and many internal/external factors affect success in subfertile couples undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). We examined the effect of folic acid, B12, D, and E vitamins and melatonin values in follicular fluid on pregnancy in women with low, normal, and high ovarian reserves who underwent ICSI.
Methods: Our study was conducted at Samsun Medical Park Hospital between January 2021 and February 2022.

Objective: The hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis is active during minipuberty, the timing of which coincides with infantile colic. To the best of our knowledge, the relationship between these entities has not been previously investigated.
Methods: Saliva samples were collected from 15- to 60-day-old term infants (n=139) between 9 am and 5 pm.
Venetoclax is a small molecule inhibitor of BCL-2 used in the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Recent postmarketing studies of ibrutinib, another small molecule inhibitor, suggested that these agents may predispose to opportunistic infections. We sought to systematically review the randomized controlled trial (RCT) evidence of venetoclax to assess whether it predisposes patients to infectious adverse events (IAEs) and neutropenia.
