Background: Assessment of nutritional status is gaining more importance in cancer patients because nutritional status is associated with response to chemotherapy, side effects of cancer treatment and disease progression. Several studies that were performed on patients with solid malignancies have shown the clinical significance of CONUT score (Controlling nutritional status).
Aims: Therefore we tried to show the utility of CONUT score in newly diagnosed Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) patients which is the most frequently seen B Cell Lymphoma type.
As the aerospace industry has grown rapidly over the years, aviators and astronauts have been exposed to some abnormal physiological changes arising from the dynamics of the aerospace environment. The vestibular system, encoding linear and angular movements of the head, is one of the main affected systems in which those abnormal changes can occur during flight. Despite the intricate and solid organization, vestibular units are such delicate structures that they can easily be deceived by aerial dynamics and gravity changes.

Background: It is known that many body systems are affected as a result of dysphagia. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between clinical features, respiratory functions, anthropometric measurements and dysphagia in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Method: Seventy-five MS patients and 50 healthy controls were included in this prospective case-control study.
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and lockdown period may induce an impairment in quality of life (QoL), disruption in treatment (DIT), and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in chronic neurological diseases (CNDs). To reach this information, a multicenter, cross-sectional study (COVQoL-CND) was planned. Parkinson's disease (PD), headache (HA), multiple sclerosis (MS), epilepsy (EP), polyneuropathy (PNP), and cerebrovascular disease (CVD) were selected as the CND.

Haematological malignancies associated with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) are often acute myeloid leukaemias and myelodysplastic syndromes. Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) has been reported rarely in these situations. Cytogenetics of CRT-associated CML is not different from de novo CML, and there are not enough data about its prognosis.

Neuroblastoma is categorized into three major risk groups (low, intermediate, high risk). Recent identification of new genes raised the possibility of new biomarkers to identify sub-risk groups.

Material And Methods: To be included in this study, patients had to have had at least one previous GA cycle and a subsequent GA cycle with added early follicular phase letrozole (LzGA). A total of 41 poor responder patients were identified based on the Bologna criteria.
Although there are short- and long-term prognostic studies in patients with myocardial infarction (MI), the data that can be used to predict the clinical outcome following discharge is limited. We analyzed creatinine kinase-MB and troponin related to myonecrosis, suppression of tumorigenicity 2 and NT-pro B-type natriuretic peptide related to myocardial stress, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin related to inflammation in 259 MI patients. Being in the high group for myocardial stress (odds ratio [OR]: 3.

We monitor tunneling of single electrons to the dots by means of capacitance measurements and identify single-electron capacitance peaks in the addition spectrum from occupancies of one up to thousands of electrons. The data show two remarkable phenomena in the Landau level filling factor range ν=2 to ν=5 in selective probing of the edge states of the dot: (i) Coulomb blockade peaks arise from the entrance of two electrons rather than one; (ii) at and near ν=5/2 and at fixed gate voltage, these double-height peaks appear uniformly in a magnetic field with a flux periodicity of h/2e, but they group into pairs at other filling factors.

Background: Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is a highly prevalent disease that requires repeating hospitalizations, causes significant morbidity and mortality. Therefore, early recognition of poor outcome predictors is essential for patient management.
Objective: The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) detected by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and repolarization parameters such as corrected QT (QTc) interval, Tp-e interval, frontal QRS-T angle detected by 12 lead electrocardiograph (ECG) in HFrEF.
Objectives: We aimed to understand whether laparoscopic ureterolithotomy (LU) is a good alternative to flexible ureterorenoscopic lithotripsy (FURS) by comparing these techniques concerning cost-effectiveness.
Methods: We analysed 79 patients with upper ureteral stones larger than 1.5 cm underwent FURS or LU concerning cost-effectiveness analysis.
Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA) is a rare neurodegenerative disorder which is caused by triplet repeat expansion (GAA) in the first intron of FXN gene. In this present study, we generated induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) lines from fibroblasts of three unrelated FRDA patients using integration-free episomal vectors. All iPSC lines express the pluripotency markers such as OCT4 and SSEA4, display normal karyotypes and can differentiate into all three germ layers via in vivo teratoma formation assay.

Purpose: To investigate inter-vendor comparability of 4D Flow MR derived aortic hemodynamic parameters, assess scan-rescan repeatability, and intra- and interobserver reproducibility.
Study Type: Prospective multicenter study.
Background: To determine whether baseline diaphragm (T), rectus femoris (RF) and vastus intermedius (VI) muscle thickness (T and T) are associated with weaning success.
Material And Methods: Right T, T and T were measured by ultrasonography within 36 h of intubation and diaphragmatic excursion (DE) was evaluated at the first spontaneous breathing trial in adult critically-ill patients. Reintubation or death within 7 days after extubation was defined as weaning failure.
Objective: Eltrombopag remains a prominent option in the treatment of steroid-dependent or steroid-refractory immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) patients. Unfortunately, not all patients respond to eltrombopag. Antinuclear antibody (ANA) positivity can be seen at rates of up to 30% in ITP patients.

Aims: We aimed to assess the nutritional behavior, anthropometric measurements, and caregiver feeding styles of children with ASD.
Method: One hundred and four children with ASD and 100 controls were enrolled in the study.
Background: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a severe, life-threatening disorder despite the availability of specific drug therapy. A lack of endogenous prostacyclin secondary to downregulation of prostacyclin synthase in PAH may contribute to vascular pathologies. Therefore, prostacyclin and its analogs including inhaled iloprost may decrease pulmonary arterial pressure and ventricular pressure.

Material And Methods: The retrospective study included type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) patients with frequent hypoglycaemia. For evaluation of fasting blood glucose, haemoglobin glycated (HbA) and weight at 6 months and 12 months (final), observation windows of 120-240 days (4-8 months) and 240-480 days (9-16 months) after insulin glargine U300 initiation, respectively, were permitted.
