Objective: To formulate the first clinical practice guideline for the treatment of cough using Chinese medicine based on the grading of recommendations assessment, development, and evaluation (GRADE) systematic approach, including clinical evidence, evaluation of ancient literature, and expert consensus.
Methods: In the process of development, the regulation of "evidence-based, consensus-assisted, and empirical" was followed, and a comprehensive systematic approach of recommendation assessment, GRADE, evidence-based evaluation, expert consensus, and the Delphi method was used. In the process of guideline development, evidence-based evaluation of ancient literature was included for the first time, and clinical evidence was fully integrated with clinical expert consensus.
To facilitate containment of the COVID-19 pandemic currently active in the United States and across the world, options for easy, non-invasive antibody testing are required. Here we have adapted a commercially available, serum-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for use with saliva samples, achieving 84.2% sensitivity and 100% specificity in a set of 149 clinical samples.

The clinical management of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) relies upon periodic assessments of changes in the severity of gait deviations in response to clinical interventions. Current clinical practice is limited to sporadic assessments in a clinical environment and hence it is limited in its ability to estimate the impact of CP-related gait deviations in real-life conditions. Experimental Design: We used an integrated genomic approach to identify genes that are coamplified with KRAS in lung adenocarcinomas and subsequently preformed an RNA interference (RNAi) screen to uncover functionally relevant genes. The role of lactate dehydrogenase B (LDHB) was subsequently investigated both in vitro and in vivo by siRNA and short hairpin RNA (shRNA)-mediated knockdown in a panel of lung adenocarcinoma cells lines.
NASA's EPOXI mission observed the disc-integrated Earth and Moon to test techniques for reconnoitering extrasolar terrestrial planets, using the Deep Impact flyby spacecraft to observe Earth at the beginning and end of Northern Hemisphere spring, 2008, from a range of ∼1/6 to 1/3 AU. These observations furnish high-precision and high-cadence empirical photometry and spectroscopy of Earth, suitable as "ground truth" for numerically simulating realistic observational scenarios for an Earth-like exoplanet with finite signal-to-noise ratio. Earth was observed at near-equatorial sub-spacecraft latitude on 18-19 March, 28-29 May, and 4-5 June (UT), in the range of 372-4540 nm wavelength with low visible resolving power (λ/Δλ=5-13) and moderate IR resolving power (λ/Δλ=215-730).

Design: A retrospective analysis of clinical and quantitative gait data obtained from patients and control subjects.
Settings: A gait laboratory.
Static standing balance was compared in 10 subjects with hemiparesis resulting from a cerebrovascular accident (33-71 years of age), 10 young normal subjects (22-40 years of age), and 10 older normal subjects (48-78 years of age) using a quantitative maximal load test and a clinical evaluation. The maximal load test required subjects to maintain a standing position against static loads applied at the waist (sagittal and frontal planes). Maximal loads were recorded as a percentage of body weight at the point when subjects could no longer hold the initial standing position.
