Post-synthetic modification of proton-conducting metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) by loading small molecules capable of generating protons into pores is an efficient approach for developing a new type of material with improved ionic conductivity. Herein, the synthesis, characterization and proton conductivity of a novel electroneutral MOF based on palladium(II) -tetrakis(4-(phosphonatophenyl))porphyrinate, IPCE-1Pd, are reported. The exposure of the obtained framework to imidazole by the diffusion vapor method has surprisingly led to its complete crystal-to-crystal MOF-to-HOF transformation, resulting in the formation of a novel hydrogen-bonded organic framework (HOF) IPCE-1Pd_Im, which is the first example of such kind of structural change among all known MOFs.

O-polysaccharide (OPS, O-antigen) was isolated from the lipopolysaccharide of Shewanella xiamenensis DCB-2-1 and studied by 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and sugar analysis.

The transition of the extractant into the aqueous phase and the distribution of Cl ions during lithium extraction from LiCl solutions were determined. LiNTf complexes with B15C5 with different LiNTf:B15C5 ratios were isolated for the first time and characterized via X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy.

According to DFT modeling of complexes of isopropyl salicylate and 1,3-diketone with alkali metal cations (Li+, Na+, K+), six-membered metallacycles are formed whose stability decreases along the series Li > Na > K, which results in the observed enhanced affinity to lithium. The extraction ability of isopropyl salicylate is manifested in the presence of trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO).

Two new gold(III) complexes with adenine or guanine nitrogenous bases as counter-cations were synthesized. These are 6-amino-7H-purine-1,9-diium tetrachloridogold(III) chloride monohydrate, (CHN)[AuCl]Cl·HO, 1, and 2-amino-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-1H-purin-9-ium tetrachloridogold(III) hemihydrate, (CHNO)[AuCl]·0.5HO, 2.

In animals studied, inhabiting technologically modified ecosystems, in contrast to those from ecologically safe regions, the testis demonstrated the increased destruction of spermatogenic epithelium. In the ovaries, the accelerated exhaustion of follicular reserve was detected.

Concentrations of Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn in four fractions of the leachate (mobile fraction F1, relatively mobile fraction F2, associated with organic matter/sulphides fraction F3, and residual fraction F4) were measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The sediments with Cu concentration <500 mg kg⁻¹ displayed prevalence of mobile acid-leachable fraction F1 and reducible fraction F2 for Cd, Cu, Mn, and Pb, whereas the relative contribution of fraction F3 was relatively low for all of the examined metals.

Intensification of the reproduction (growth of female fecundity, reduction of the puberty age) in some species (forest mouse) compensated for the negative changes in the reproduction, which resulted from the influence of the industrial factors (premature loss of ovarian follicular reserve, accelerated embryonic death rate, increased destructive changes in the gonads) and provided for the preservation of the population sizes. The intense functioning of reproductive organs in the other species (small and reddish gophers) was insufficient to compensate for the damage inflicted by the man-caused actions.

The drug was effective in the treatment of patients with chronic catarrhal gingivitis and generalized periodontitis of light and medium severity. By its antiinflammatory and wound-healing effects polycatane is superior to polyminerol, the reference drug.

It was also noted that amyloidosis developed in the patients with a long history of the disease. Long-course immunosuppression treatment could be regarded as the other factor-of-risk for amyloidosis development.

Diarrhea that arises in mice given serotonin intravenously is not suppressed by tipindolol, LSD-25, ciproheptadine in doses in which these drugs block the D and T serotonin-reactive structures, or is not reduced by hexonium, thereby providing no evidence in favour of the reflex nature of the effect. Diarrhea is suppressed by morphine and atropine, thus pointing to the responsibility for its origin of M-serotoninoreactive structures of intestinal parasympathetic ganglia with subsequent involvement of the postganglionic cholinergic link.

Nonachlazin diminishes aseptic inflammation provoked by subplantar administration of carrageenin to rats. Nonachlazin increases the sensitivity pain threshold of the rat paw affected by carrageenin-induced inflammation, decreases the reaction of mice to intraperitoneal injection of phenylchinoin, and the ability of the rabbit central nervous system for impulse summation. Nonachlazin prevents carrageenin-induced temperature rise in rats.
