Insomnia is a serious and widespread public health problem, but is often undetected and patients do not receive needed treatment. Insomnia is often comorbid with other diseases and conditions, such as arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, pain syndromes, anxiety and depressive disorders, etc. A separate problem is drug-induced insomnia, when patients develop symptoms due to other diseases treatments.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFGlucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (arGLP1) are an effective treatment for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), mainly due to increasing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release by stimulating the respective receptors. Taking into account their positive effect on major cardiovascular events, drugs in this group with proven cardioprotective effects are recommended for patients with T2DM and clinical cardiovascular diseases or multiple cardiovascular risk factors. In this paper, we present an overview of current clinical studies on the clinical efficacy and safety of arGLP1 and discuss current prospects for arGLP1 as a therapy for patients with T2DM.

Sleep disorders are becoming increasingly important due to the high comorbidity with other diseases and a significant impact on the patient's quality of life. Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder both in the general population and in patients with multimorbid pathology. Its prevalence in the general population is 6-15%, while in patients with somatic diseases it increases up to 20-40% and can reach 90% in patients with comorbid mental disorders.

Achieving targeted glycemic control in diabetic patients is important to reduce the risk of late complications, and many patients with type 2 diabetes ultimately require insulin therapy to maintain adequate glycemic control. Timely administration of insulin can prevent the progression of diabetes, reduce the development of complications, and have fewer side effects.

This study revealed the impact of anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants and a cationic polymer on the physical and chemical properties, stability and behavior of silver nanomaterials, as well as on the toxicity of nanosized silver particles with respect to zebrafish embryos. Some of the stabilizers applied were shown to significantly affect embryos of Danio rerio.
