Introduction: The impact of cardiac myxomas on the immune response is still indefinite, although laboratory tests and histological findings suggest that there is a correlation between myxomas and inflammatory reaction.
Objectives: Our study speculates that cardiac myxomas are associated with inflammatory response and investigates potential elements of inflammation in the histopathological examination and biomarkers from laboratory tests.
Methods: It is a retrospective study and data were collected from a single center between May 2010 to May 2018.

Intratracheal administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in animals is a commonly used model of acute lung injury, characterized by increased alveolar-capillary membrane permeability causing protein-rich edema, inflammation, deterioration of lung mechanical function and impaired gas exchange. Technetium-99-m-labeled diethylene-triamine pentaacetatic acid ((99m)Tc-DTPA) scintigraphy is a non-invasive technique to assess lung epithelial permeability. We hypothesize that the longer the exposure and the higher the dose of LPS the greater the derangement of the various indices of lung injury.

A year after the diagnosis, she developed a skin nodule on the extensor surface of her right elbow, which was due to an amyloid deposit of AA type. Amyloidosis, although relatively common in some chronic inflammatory diseases, has been uncommon in Sjögren syndrome or celiac disease.

Case Presentation: We present a case of a young male who was transferred to our hospital because of shock and multiple organ failure after a complicated pericardial biopsy.
An unusual case of fibrosing mediastinitis with obstruction of the inferior and superior left pulmonary veins and severe narrowing of the right pulmonary artery, disclosed after unilateral pulmonary edema, is described. The 18-year-old male patient had a long history of cough, progressive dyspnea and recurrent hemoptysis and the possible diagnosis of "interstitial fibrosis" from a previous lung biopsy. The diagnosis and the pulmonary vessels involvement were suspected after right heart catheterization combined with transesophageal echocardiography and confirmed during urgent thoracotomy and at postmortem examination.

We present the case of a 39-year-old woman with refractory metastatic ITC who responded to oxaliplatin plus irinotecan chemotherapy. She was initially diagnosed with a locally advanced and metastatic to lung ITC and underwent near-total thyroidectomy.
