Multicenter evaluation of ceftazidime-avibactam use in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae bloodstream infections in OXA-48 endemic regions.

Data in the literature on the use of ceftazidime-avibactam (CAZ-AVI) in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae bloodstream infections (CRKP-BSIs) are limited especially in OXA-48 (Oxacillinase-48) predominant regions. Our study aimed to evaluate the effect of CAZ-AVI use on outcomes in CRKP-BSIs in Turkey, where OXA-48 is endemic. A multicenter retrospective observational study was conducted between January 2017 and September 2021.

Investigating traumatic memory integration in people with and without post-traumatic stress disorder using the event-cueing paradigm.

Poor integration and landmark views make opposing claims regarding the relationship between post-traumatic stress symptoms and trauma memory integration. This study tested these approaches using an event cluster paradigm. In total, 126 participants ( = 61;  = 65) remembered memories from the same story as trauma, positive and neutral memories and reported whether each memory was directly retrieved or generated.

Ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane block for postoperative analgesia in laparoscopic cholecystectomy: A retrospective study.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects on postoperative pain of ketamine and dexmedetomidine addition to bupivacaine in a transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted patients who underwent ultrasound-guided TAP block in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The patients were divided into three groups: Group BD (Bupivacaine+Dexmedetomidine), Group BK (Bupivacaine+Ketamine), and Group B (Bupivacaine).

Effect of initial antifungal therapy on mortality among patients with bloodstream infections with different Candida species and resistance to antifungal agents: A multicentre observational study by the Turkish Fungal Infections Study Group.

This study aimed to describe the effect of initial antifungal therapy on patient mortality and to detail the current distribution and resistance patterns of Candida spp. among patients with candidaemia. A prospective observational study was performed among consecutive patients with candidaemia from 10 Turkish medical centres between January 2015 and November 2018.

Is aripiprazole the only choice of treatment of the patients who developed anti-psychotic agents-induced leucopenia and neutropenia? A case report.

Leucopenia and neutropenia could be side effects of anti-psychotic drugs, especially clozapine. However, there is evidence that other anti-psychotics can cause leucopenia and neutropenia. We present the clinical follow-up and treatment process of a patient, who had initially developed quetiapine and amisulpride related neutropenia, but not with aripiprazole.
