Background: Survival prediction accuracy of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) in extra-nodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is controversial. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of F-FDG PET/CT parameters including maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), total metabolic tumor volume (TMTV) and total lesion glycolysis (TLG), and to develop a new prognostic model for ENKTL.

Methods: We analyzed 390 ENKTL patients with comprehensive clinical and survival data.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the impact of high-risk cytogenetic abnormalities (HRA) on the survival outcomes of multiple myeloma patients with extramedullary disease (EMD) in the era of novel agents, utilizing the largest dataset of extramedullary multiple myeloma patients in China.

Methods: This study included a total of 371 patients with EMD, comprising 113 patients with de novo EME and 258 patients with EMB.

Results: Patients with one HRA and those with ≥ 2 HRA demonstrated significantly worse overall survival (OS) (P < 0.

Article Synopsis
  • This study assesses the effectiveness and safety of different treatment regimens (RCHOP, R2-CHOP, and RCHOP plus BTKi) for double-expressor diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DE-DLBCL), a type of cancer with a poor prognosis.
  • A total of 213 DE-DLBCL patients were analyzed, revealing high overall response rates across all treatment groups, with RCHOP plus BTKi showing a significant improvement in progression-free survival but no significant change in overall survival.
  • The findings suggest that while the addition of BTK inhibitors enhances progression-free survival, lenalidomide does not provide any extra benefits, highlighting the importance of treatment selection for improving outcomes in advanced-stage DE-DLBCL

Background: In the era of novel agents, the clinical outcomes of induction treatment and the impact of the number of high-risk cytogenetic abnormalities (HRA) in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) need to be explored.

Objective: Through this study, we aim to analyze the effectiveness of different induction treatments and explore the survival outcomes of patients with varying numbers of HRA.

Methods: A total of 734 patients from seven medical centers were included in our study.

Objective: The prognosis of extra-nodal NK/T cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is poor, and the optimal therapy remains controversial. This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a new combined modality therapy.

Methods: Phase-2 study of pegaspargase, etoposide and gemcitabine (PEG) combined with involved field radiation therapy (IFRT) in newly-diagnosed patients with early-stage ENKTL.

Bortezomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (VRD), and bortezomib, doxorubicin, and dexamethasone (PAD), are commonly used in induction regimens for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) in China. This real-world study enrolled 390 patients, 195 receiving VRD and 195 receiving PAD induction. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) and stringent complete remission/complete remission.

Objectives: To explore the mechanism of calcium-sensing receptors (CaSRs) during the development of nephrolithiasis.

Materials And Methods: Wistar rats were treated with ethylene glycol to induce calcium oxalate crystallization, and gadolinium chloride (GdCl, an agonist of CaSR) and NPS 2390 (an antagonist of CaSR) were added. Oxidative stress (OS) and calcium oxalate crystals in the kidney were observed.

Objective: To elaborate the correlation of chromatography fingerprint of Astragali Radix and the efficacy of improving immunity, and express the effective substances foundation.

Methods: The water extract was given to irrigation stomach of mice for carbon clearance experiment. Associated the peak area of each common peak from HPLC fingerprint and the date of improving immunity, and studied the correlation between fingerprint and efficacy and found out the effective substances foundation of improving immunity in the method of gray correlation analysis.

A new sulfated acetamido-heteropolysaccharide, HPS4-2A, was obtained by aqueous extraction followed by precipitation with ethanol and fractionation with DEAE column chromatography from Radix Hedysari. It was composed of rhamnose, arabinose, glucose, galactose and 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-d-galactose in the molar ratio of 10.09%:25.
