Peripheral Vascular Compression in a Patient With Diffuse Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor of the Knee: A Case Report Focusing on the Role of the Ultrasound.

Tenosynovial giant cell tumors (TGCTs) are benign histo-fibrocystic tumors originating from the synovium of joints, bursae, or tendon sheaths. They are categorized into localized and diffuse types, each with distinct clinical presentations and management approaches. The diffuse form, which is rare, generally affects a single joint and is characterized by joint swelling, pain, functional limitation, and often hemarthrosis.

Intramuscular Dissecting Baker's Cysts: A Case Series Highlighting Ultrasound Diagnosis and Differential Considerations.

Baker's cysts, commonly incidental findings, can occasionally present as intramuscular dissecting cysts within the medial gastrocnemius muscle. This case report highlights the ultrasound features and differential diagnoses of intramuscular dissecting Baker's cysts through the examination of three distinct cases: a 64-year-old woman with severe osteoarthritis, an 80-year-old man with a palpable mass in the popliteal fossa, and a 37-year-old man with early degenerative arthropathy. Each case was investigated using ultrasound, revealing fusiform hypoechoic fluid collections with heterogeneous echostructure parallel to the medial gastrocnemius muscle bundle and lacking posterior reinforcement.

Transient Colonic Intussusception Versus Colon Adenocarcinoma: A Case Report on Ultrasound Features in the Emergency Department.

Intussusception in adults is a rare pathology due to the telescoping of a bowel segment into a section adjacent to it. Almost all cases are linked to a pathological lead point, which is often a colorectal carcinoma where the intussusception involves the large intestine. Likely to occur in the same clinical setting, the differential diagnosis between intussusception and colon carcinoma by ultrasound in the emergency department can be quite challenging.

GCT topography most often affects the epiphyseal and metaphyseal regions of long bones but rarely flat bones. We report the case of a 35-year-old woman with an aggressive GCT of the right scapula.

Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 in a 10-Year-Old Child With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) represents a group of rare connective tissue disorders characterized by excessive bone fragility. Type 3 is a rare form with new mutations; osteopenia and bone fragility are significant with numerous fractures, continuous and severe deformity of the spine, and long bones. Our case study concerns a 10-year-old male child admitted to the pediatric department of the State University of Haiti Hospital.
