Electroacupuncture (EA) has shown promise as a treatment for Functional constipation (FC), with growing evidence suggesting it may enhance gut motility. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) serve as key regulatory molecules mediating host-microbiota interactions. However, the specific fecal miRNAs regulating microbiota composition and metabolism in EA-treated constipated mice, along with their key targets, remain unidentified.

However, the role of surface microorganisms in promoting nitrogen transformation and improving nitrogen utilization by macroalgae remains unclear. In this study, 228 bacterial strains were isolated from the surface of , and high-throughput sequencing revealed significant shifts in the composition of surface bacterial communities under different nitrogen concentrations.

Traditional methods to remove biofilm are ineffective in promoting reosseointegration on implant surfaces. This phenomenon can be attributed to two factors: incomplete removal of biofilm from hard-to-reach areas and alterations in the physicochemical properties of implant surfaces caused by decontamination procedures.

In this study, we develop an ultrasensitive SERS sensor to determine cellular oxidative stress based on the HO-induced enzymatic amplification and a silent-range Raman fingerprint. In the presence of horseradish peroxidase, HO could trigger the coupling reaction of 4-hydroxythiophenol (4-MTP) with phenol-d5 to form a new compound, which can bind to the SERS substrate via the Au-S bond and generate the stable SERS signal with nearly zero background signals owing to the Raman-silent fingerprint of phenol-d5 at 2125 cm.

Methods: We searched the MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL Complete, and ClinicalTrials.gov from inception to January 23, 2024 for all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of auriculotherapy in the treatment of APP.
Introduction: The precise cause of antibody-mediated immune responses on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and lung function remains unclear. We characterized the relationship between antibody-mediated immune responses to COPD, asthma, and lung function, ultimately achieve the prevention or treatment.
Methods: We obtained summary data from published genome-wide association studies, including antibody-mediated immune responses, COPD, asthma, forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1), forced expiratory volume (FVC), and FEV1/FVC.
Purpose: To compare the effectiveness of keratinized mucosa (KM) augmentation with different techniques for the treatment of dental implants based on risk assessment.
Methods: Thirty-nine patients who underwent KM augmentation at implant sites in the posterior mandible were included. Three techniques were used based on anatomy-guided risk assessment: an apically positioned flap (APF) alone, an APF plus a free gingival graft (APF plus FGG), and an APF plus a collagen matrix (APF plus CM).
Background: Bone loss of residual alveolar ridges is a great challenge in the field of dental implantology. Deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) is commonly used for bone regeneration, however, it is loose and difficult to handle in clinical practice. Hyaluronic acid (HA) shows viscoelasticity, permeability and excellent biocompatibility.

Objective: Thumbtack Needling (TN) has been employed in the treatment of functional constipation (FC), although the existing evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited. This study is to evaluate the efficacy of TN in ameliorating FC.
Method: A total of 482 eligible patients were recruited and randomly assigned to the TN group or the Mosapride Citrate (MC) group.
Purpose: We aimed to explore the causal relationship between human serum metabolites and angina pectoris.
Methods: This study used two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to assess the association between 486 serum metabolites and angina pectoris. The analytical methods employed to reduce study bias included inverse variance weighted, MR-Egger, and weighted median method.
Solid-state lithium metal batteries (SSLMBs) are promising candidates for safe and high-energy-density next-generation applications. However, harmful interfacial decomposition and uneven Li deposition lead to poor ion transport, a short cycle life, and battery failure. Herein, we propose a novel poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based composite solid electrolyte (CSE) containing succinonitrile (SN) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs), which improves interface stability through a dual mechanism.

The Perceived Maternal Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale (PMPS-E), as a task-specific measure, confirms its psychometric properties in cultural contexts. Compared with other tools, the advantages of the PMPS-E are as follows: (i) specific context or time period during the lifespan of a child, (ii) explicitly assess parenting self-efficacy across a diverse enough range of parenting tasks or activities during the perinatal/postnatal period and (iii) having robust psychometric properties.

ALPL ablation induces prototypical premature bone ageing characteristics, resulting in impaired osteogenic differentiation capacity of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMMSCs). As angiogenesis is tightly coupled with osteogenesis, it also plays a necessary role in sustaining bone homeostasis.

Protein lysine acetylation is a critical post-translational modification involved in a wide range of biological processes. To date, about 20,000 acetylation sites of Homo sapiens were identified through mass spectrometry-based proteomic technology, but more than 95% of them have unclear functional annotations because of the lack of existing prioritization strategy to assess the functional importance of the acetylation sites on large scale. Hence, we established a lysine acetylation functional evaluating model (LAFEM) by considering eight critical features surrounding lysine acetylation site to high-throughput estimate the functional importance of given acetylation sites.

The paper summarizes the academic thought and clinical experience of professor in treatment of facial nerve injury after total parotidectomy with blade needle based on (muscle region of meridian, sinew/fascia) theory. This disease is located at muscle regions of hand-/foot-three meridians; and the sinew/fascia adhesion is its basic pathogenesis, manifested by "transversely-distributed collaterals" and "knotted tendons". In treatment, the knotted tendons are taken as the points.
