Methods: In this research, a comprehensive health risk assessment was performed on 27 species of high-consumption commercial fish sampled from stations located in Hormozgan province within the Northeast Persian Gulf.
Background: Considering the importance of scorpions and recognizing the mechanisms of toxicity caused by their medically important species in Iran and adopting the best therapeutic approach based on these mechanisms, this study was performed by reviewing the clinical manifestations of scorpion stings.
Methods: The research was conducted by searching for articles and researches in related websites (PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science and CINAHL) and using domestic and international authoritative journals using the keywords of scorpion, clinical manifestations, in a review method. Finally, 104 qualified sources were selected and after reviewing and criticizing these studies, the author's point of view was presented.

One of the acute hematologic malignancies is acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which is formed in B or T lymphocyte stem cells. Regarding the increasing tendency to herbal and marine studies and unclear characteristics of Cassiopea andromeda Venom, this study was performed to determine its effects on Jurkat cells as a model for T-ALL. In this experimental study, the cells were treated with a variety of concentrations of Cassiopea andromeda venom at different periods and times.

The list of medically important snakes, circumstances and effects of their bite, and necessary medical care require critical appraisal and should be updated regularly. This study aims to review and map the distributions of medically important snake species of Iran, re-evaluate their taxonomy, review their venomics, describe the clinical effects of envenoming, and discuss medical management and treatment, including the use of antivenom.

In these patients, obesity leads to increasing comorbidities as well as reduced quality of life. Obesity causes an inflammatory state in the body, especially in adolescents; obesity has a role in the pathogenesis of MS.

Twenty-one samples of 7 popular brands of depilatory products, inclusive of cream and powder, were examined. Selected elements were measured by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) using the appropriate procedure for acid digestion and the measurement of heavy metal contents.

The present study was done to better understand and update the fauna of Culicidae and to find out the distribution and the type of their larval habitats in Kashan County.
Methods: This study was done in four districts of Kashan County (Central, Qamasr, Niasar and Barzok).
Objectives: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a cause of death worldwide. The hepatic nuclear factor- NF-kβ (NF-kβ) is the cardinal player of hepatic homeostasis, insulin sensitivity, and lipid metabolism. Thus, we investigated the effect of thiamine on hepatic gene expression of NF-kβ and its levels of activators in MS rats.

Immunologic function is severely impaired due to the absence of MHC class II molecules on the surface of immune cells. Here, we report a 5-year-old boy with a novel homozygous mutation in RFXANK gene that negatively affects the proper expression of MHC class II molecules by antigen presenting cells.

This paper presents an innovative current modulator active electrode (CMAE) with only two outgoing wires that reduces cost and complexity of wearable bioamplifiers based on dry electrodes. The CMAE can be considered as an operational transconductance amplifier, which modulates the supply current by input voltage signal through its two supply rails. The CMAE prototype is implemented with only two discrete op-amps for ECG and EEG recording with current consumption of 60 μA and 100 μA, respectively.
