A multifunctional microwave absorber with high thermal conductivity for 5G base station packaging comprising silylated GO/FeSiAl epoxy composites were fabricated by a simple solvent-handling method, and its microwave absorption properties and thermal conductivity were presented. It could act as an applicable microwave absorber for highly integrated 5G base station packaging with 5G antennas within a range of operating frequency of 2.575-2.

Volatile radionuclides generated during the nuclear fission process, such as iodine, pose risks to public safety and cause the threat of environmental pollution. Covalent organic framework (COF) materials have a controlled pore structure and a large specific surface area and thus demonstrate great opportunities in the field of radioactive iodine adsorption. However, the harsh synthetic conditions and the weak binding capability toward iodine have significantly restricted the applications of COFs in iodine adsorption.

A T-type calcium channel inhibiting natural product cochlearoid B was synthesized for the first time in 7 linear steps via a convergent strategy exploiting the Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling and the acid promoted Prins cyclization cascade. This strategy allows rapid access to its structural analogues for further therapeutical development.

A natural product inspired rapid access of 3-(aminomethyl)pyridine by one-pot reaction of 1-amidopyridin-1-ium salt with aminal followed by reductive cleavage of the N-N bond is developed. This C3-selective formal C-H activation of pyridine features a traceless umpolung of the 1-amidopyridin-1-ium salt toward a Mannich type C-C bond formation of the in situ generated 1-amido-2-dialkylamino-1,2-dihydropyridine intermediate.

A novel silica-coated multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNTs) with CdTe quantum dots nanocomposite was synthesized in this paper. Here, we show the in situ growth of crystalline CdTe quantum dots on the surfaces of oxidized MWNTs. The approach proposed herein differs from previous attempts to synthesize nanotube assemblies in that we mix the oxidized MWNTs into CdCl(2) solution of CdTe nanocrystals synthesized in aqueous solution.
