Objective: Assessing the prevalence of resistance and drug resistance mutations (DRMs) in HIV/AIDS patients towards integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs), particularly the 2nd-generation INSTIs, provides evidence for rational clinical drug use.

Methods: A systematic search was conducted on five databases to identify relevant literature reporting original data on INSTIs resistance. Meta-analyses, cumulative meta-analyses, subgroup analyses and meta-regression analyses were performed using selected models based on the results of heterogeneity tests.

Real-world performance of HIV low viral load values in diagnosing acute HIV infection in a tertiary care hospital in Beijing, China.

Background: Early diagnosis of HIV infection decreases the time from HIV diagnosis to viral suppression and reduces further HIV transmission. The Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of HIV/AIDS (2021 edition) state that an HIV RNA level > 5,000 copies/mL is the threshold for diagnosing HIV infection. The impact of low viral load values on HIV diagnosis needs to be investigated.

HIV Services Uptake Among People Living with HIV in Jiangsu Province, China: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Healthcare disparities are common among people living with HIV (PLWH) in China and likely impact access to HIV services. This study aimed to assess the current status of access to HIV services among PLWH and explore the correlates of service uptake using baseline data from a prospective cohort study among PLWH in Jiangsu Province. Guided by Andersen's behavioral model, univariable and multivariable logistic regressions were conducted to identify factors associated with access to HIV services.

HIV-1 Drug Resistance Detected by Next-Generation Sequencing among ART-Naïve Individuals: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: There are an increasing number of articles focused on the prevalence and clinical impact of pretreatment HIV drug resistance (PDR) detected by Sanger sequencing (SGS). PDR may contribute to the increased likelihood of virologic failure and the emergence of new resistance mutations. As SGS is gradually replaced by next-generation sequencing (NGS), it is necessary to assess the levels of PDR using NGS in ART-naïve patients systematically.

Adherence, adverse drug reactions, and discontinuation associated with adverse drug reactions of HIV post-exposure prophylaxis: a meta-analysis based on cohort studies.

Evaluate the profiles of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) adherence, adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and discontinuation associated with ADRs to provide information for further PEP program improvement and increase adherence to PEP. The Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library were searched for cohort studies reporting data related to PEP adherence or ADRs (PROSPERO, CRD42022385073). Pooled estimates of adherence, the incidence of ADRs and discontinuation associated with ADRs, and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated separately for the included literature using random effects models.

HPV Infection Profiles among People Living with HIV and HPV Vaccine Acceptance among Individuals with Different HIV Infection Statuses in China: A Systematic Meta-Analysis.

To understand the HPV infection profiles among Chinese HIV/AIDS patients and the HPV vaccine acceptance among unvaccinated Chinese people with different HIV infection statuses after the HPV vaccine launch in China, this study searched Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Scopus, CNKI, WANFANG, SinoMed, and VIP databases up to 23 June 2023, according to the registered protocol (CRD42023449913). A total of 58 studies were included. The results showed that the HPV infection rate among Chinese HIV/AIDS patients was 52.

Prevention and Control Are Not a Regional Matter: A Spatial Correlation and Molecular Linkage Analysis Based on Newly Reported HIV/AIDS Patients in 2021 in Jiangsu, China.

HIV-related spatial analysis studies in China are relatively few, and Jiangsu Province has not reported the relevant data in recent years. To describe the spatial distribution and molecular linkage characteristics of HIV-infected patients, this article combined descriptive epidemiology, spatial analysis, and molecular epidemiology methods to analyze patient reporting, patient mobility information, and HIV sequence information simultaneously. The results showed that HIV reporting profiles differed among Jiangsu cities, with the reporting rate in southern Jiangsu being above average.

This meta-analysis was conducted to comprehensively understand the drug resistance profiles of Chinese HIV/AIDS patients and compare the drug resistance differences among groups to provide a reference for the further improvement of treatment protocols.

Method: The Pol gene (Reverse transcriptase and protease) was amplified and sequenced to identify the genotypes and DR profiles among LLV patients in 2021. Questionnaire survey was conducted among HIV/AIDS patients to investigate the potential influence factors of treatment effects.

The mumps resurgence has frequently been reported around the world in recent years, especially in many counties mumps vaccines have been widely used. This study aimed to describe the spatial epidemiological characteristics of mumps in Jiangsu, and provide a scientific basis for the implementation and adjustment of strategies to prevent and control mumps. The epidemiological characteristics were described with ratio or proportion.

Acceptability of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in China: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Using pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for the prevention of HIV infection is a popular, contemporary research topic. We retrieved PubMed, Web of Science, MEDLINE, Wanfang, CNKI, and Sinomed databases, and related websites to identify studies both in Chinese and English, which reported the acceptability of PrEP in China. A total of 3203 citations were retrieved, of which 54 were included.
