Background: Lasers and other energy-based devices are increasingly becoming popular in aesthetic practice. Many centers employ doctors or technicians to perform these procedures where treating doctor and operating doctor may be different. Hence the need for standard operative protocols, to be followed while performing these procedures to avoid mistakes, complications and to get optimum results.

Identifying and validating the most appropriate reference genes is essential for qPCR experiments. Nevertheless, there exists a deficiency in a thorough assessment of reference genes concerning the expression of the genes in the research in the context of the growth and development of the Black Tiger Shrimp, P.

Materials And Methods: Sixteen molar teeth indicated for extraction were randomly assigned into two groups. For the test group, sockets were packed with PDDM block and control group, with A-PRF+ plug alone.
CR-39 SSNTD is used to measure the photoneutron spectrum produced by a medical linear accelerator in an intense γ-ray background. The spectroscopic resolution and the neutron detection threshold have been improved by introducing the event selection criteria, based on the track diameter-brightness correlation. The CR-39 detector's efficiency is determined by adapting the H(n,el) cross section from the ENDF/B-VIII.

Materials And Methods: Eight 3D finite element models (FEMs) representing a mandibular first molar tooth restored with crowns of, porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) and porcelain-fused-to-zirconia (PFZ) crowns with two cement space settings (50 and 80 µm) and with two different types of cement were constructed, using an FEA software (ANSYS, version 10). Each model was subjected to a distributed load simulating normal masticatory bite force of 225 N and was applied axial direction.
The gut microbiota and its impact on health and nutrition in animals, including cattle has been of intense interest in recent times. Cattle, in particular indigenous varieties like Kasaragod Dwarf cow, have not received the due consideration given to other non-native cattle breeds, and the composition of their fecal microbiome is yet to be established. This study applied 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing of fecal samples and compared the Kasaragod Dwarf with the highly prevalent Holstein crossbred cattle.

An increment of macronutrients and reduction of C/N ratio (<20) in the vermicomposts was recorded, where T3 presented higher NPK contents with the relative nutrient recovery efficiency of 1.65, 2.

Fourteen days pre-decomposed dung of Vechur native (CD1) and exotic Jersey (CD2) breeds were vermicomposted with Perionyx excavatus and Eudrilus eugeniae for 45 days (Cycle I) and 90 days (Cycle II) including respective controls without earthworms. Vermicomposts from CD1 and CD2 substrates during Cycle I and II showed increase in NPK, Ca and micro-nutrients (P < 0.

Denture esthetics as defined by Glossary of prosthodontics terms the effect produced by a dental prosthesis that affects the beauty and attractiveness of the person. [1] Removable partial dentures (RPDs) are the widely accepted and treatment of choice for most cases as it is both effective and affordable. Partially edentulous treatment planning includes both esthetics and masticatory function.

Host- as well as parasite-specific factors are equally crucial in allowing either the parasites to dominate, or host macrophages to resist infection. To identify such factors, we infected murine peritoneal macrophages with either the virulent (vAG83) or the non-virulent (nvAG83) parasites of . Then, through dual RNA-seq, we simultaneously elucidated the transcriptomic changes occurring both in the host and the parasites.

Methodology/principal Findings: We studied morphological alterations in promastigotes through phase contrast and scanning electron microscopy. Phosphatidylserine (PS) exposure, loss of mitochondrial membrane potential and disruption of mitochondrial integrity was determined by flow cytometry using annexinV-FITC, JC-1 and mitotraker, respectively.
The present study investigated the effect of certain unique morphophonemic features of Kannada words on the rate of stutters in a group of 22 adolescent and adult persons who stuttered in an oral reading task. A linear regression analysis showed that word length ranging from 1 to 8 syllables was a potent variable in the occurrence of stutters accounting for 25.3% of stutters.

However, there are very few studies that have attempted to delineate the gender differences in audiological characteristics and hearing aid benefit in individuals with ANSD.
Purpose: The study aimed to explore the differences between males and females in terms of demographic details, audiogram, speech identification scores, otoacoustic emissions, acoustic reflexes, long latency responses, and hearing aid benefit.

Aim: The aim of the study was to compare the fracture resistance of roots obturated with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) obturation with post, MTA apical plug with Resilon obturation, MTA apical plug with gutta percha (GP) obturation, complete MTA obturation in teeth with wide open apex.
Materials And Methods: Fifty freshly extracted human maxillary central incisors were selected. Teeth were divided into four experimental groups (n = 10) and one control group (n = 10).
Background: Long-term use of intracanal medicaments such as calcium hydroxide (CH) reduces the fracture resistance of dentin. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the fracture resistance of radicular dentin on long-term use of CH, chlorhexidine (CHX) with lycopene (LP).
Aim: To compare the fracture resistance of radicular dentin when intracanal medicaments such as CH, CHX with LP were used for 1-week and 1-month time interval.
When persons who stutter (PWS) read a text repeatedly, there is a progressive reduction in stutter frequency over the course of three to five readings. Recently, this phenomenon has been attributed by some researchers to motor learning-the acquisition of relatively permanent motor skills that facilitate fluency through practice in producing words. The current study tested this explanation.

Design: Speech perception was assessed using speech reception threshold in noise (SRTn) for sentences and consonant identification in quiet and at different signal-to-noise ratios (15, 10, 5, and 0 dB SNR).
Study Sample: Ten ANSD listeners and normal-hearing listeners participated in the study.
Aim: The aims of this study were to determine the effect of saliva and blood contamination on the shear bond strength of self-etching adhesive to enamel and dentin; and, to compare the difference in bond strength due to contamination beforeand after application of the self-etch adhesive.
Materials And Methods: 40 human mandibular molars were wet ground on both buccal and lingual surfaces to prepare flat superficial enamel and dentin surfaces. They were randomly divided into two groups (n = 40) based on the substrate (enamel and dentin).
