An acute spinal cord compression can very rarely cause a spinal epidural hematoma. The functional recovery will be the highest if early detection and prompt surgical management are undertaken. The conservative management was successful in the present case of the cervical epidural hematoma with lesser neurodeficits and smaller hematoma size with minimal cord compression.

Objectives: To determine the efficacy of monoclonal antibodies in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort observational study was conducted from June 2021 to March 2022 in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at a tertiary care hospital in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Background: Sepsis-linked biomarkers and inflammatory cytokines are markedly associated with potential risks of progression to severity in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Clinical studies that find a plausible association between sepsis biomarkers and the inflammatory cytokine response in the Indian community need to be studied with clarity.
Objectives: To study the relationship between sepsis-linked biomarkers and inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), ferritin, and D-dimer linked to clinical severity resulting from COVID-19 infection.
Background: The drawback of 24-hour urine collection is that it is troublesome, takes a lot of time, and is inaccurate because of collection errors and improper timing. The research in the Indian adult population about the correlation of spot urine protein/osmolality ratio (UPOR) and spot urine protein/creatinine ratio (UPCR) as a predictor of 24-hour urinary protein excretion is lacking.
Objectives: To study the correlation of spot UPOR and spot UPCR as the prognosticator of 24-hour urinary protein excretion.

Background: An association between increased incidence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and elevated levels of stored iron concentration was recently reported. The data in India regarding association between AMI and levels of serum ferritin are lacking.
Objectives: To study the association between serum ferritin level and risk of AMI.
Background: Many studies found that only hypomagnesemia, but not hypermagnesemia is linked with increased mortality. However, reports of mortality due to magnesium dysregulation in the critical care setting are controversial.
Objectives: To study serum magnesium levels in critically ill patients on admission in intensive care unit (ICU) and its correlation with patient's need and duration for ventilator support, duration of ICU stay, incidence of cardiac arrhythmias and mortality Methods: Two hundred forty six critically ill patients admitted in ICU with Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) II scores>10, were included for this prospective observational study.
Objective: The aim of the present study was to find a correlation of serum Suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (ST2) levels with severity of diastolic dysfunction on echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) patients.
Methods: Fifty patients aged ≥18 years fulfilling diagnostic criteria for HFpEF were included. ST2 levels, 2D echocardiography and CMRI were performed.
Objectives: The direct correlation between Echocardiographic non-coronary calcium score (ECS) and lesion severity on invasive coronary angiography (ICA) is not reported. The aim of the present study was to find the correlation between ECS and Gensini score.
Methods: One hundred seventy patients aged ≥18 years posted for clinically indicated ICA were included.
Introduction: Most patients presenting with acute vertigo are believed to suffer from acute, self-limited, presumed viral or post-viral vestibular neuritis (VN). But 25% of such cases can be "Pseudo VN", and are due to central causes, most often stroke. The aim of the present research was to study the sensitivity and specificity of Head Impulse, Nystagmus, Skew deviation (HINTS) battery for diagnosis of stroke in patients with acute-onset first episode of spontaneous vertigo.

Objectives: To study correlation of PFT with clinical outcome in patients undergoing CABG.
Background And Objective: There have been numerous studies of oral health status of school children and young population; however, similar studies in elderly population in India are lacking. With advances in medical science and consequent increase in life expectancy, elderly population is on the rise and is a subject of growing concern for public health policy. Hence, an attempt was made to study factors influencing decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index, oral health awareness, and dental treatment-seeking behavior of elderly population.

Background: The role of Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C) in the pathogenesis of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) has been well established. In many studies it was found that Non-HDL cholesterol (total cholesterol minus High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol [HDL-C] is a better predictor of CHD risk than LDL-C alone. High homocysteine levels are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.

Some studies have reported a positive correlation of small intestinal length to body mass index (BMI). Some studies have shown that bypassing proximal small intestine can result in diabetes mellitus (DM) control.

Angiodefender device is used for non invasive determination of percentage flow mediated vasodilation (FMD). An attempt is made to study whether endothelial dysfunction determined by FMD of brachial artery predicts the presence or absence of coronary artery disease and its correlation with the severity of coronary artery disease.

The present study was undertaken to compare various clinical outcomes between mesh fixation using fibrin glue and mesh fixation with tacker in a 3-months follow-up.

Sciatic nerve block provides postoperative pain relief after below knee surgery and knee surgery. Many studies with different approaches for sciatic nerve block have been conducted to demonstrate the efficacy of sciatic nerve block with different local anaesthetic drugs over the past decade.

Multiple sero-surveys confirmed that 5-10% women are unexposed to natural or vaccinated rubella virus and remain susceptible to rubella infection. The current study was conducted in 600 girls, aged 18-24 y from Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune, India to assess their sero-status against rubella infection and to estimate the immunogenicity of rubella vaccine in achieving sero-protective antibody titres.
