There is a dearth of validated red flags measures for early identification of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) among toddlers. Hence, a new screening measure was developed. Item generation was done through literature search.

CNFs when subjected to TEMPO-mediated oxidation gave rise to cellulose nanocrystals (TOCNCs), with carboxyl groups at the surface ( = 3.64).

Background And Aims: Watching 3D images are known to induce more ocular, systemic fatigue and discomfort, which can be referred to as '3D asthenopia', than watching two-dimensional (2D) images. This study was designed to determine the stereo acuity levels among college students and compare it with the hours of use of digital technology.
Methods: University students in the age group of 18-25 years were screened for visual acuity for distance and near.
Nanocomposites of poly(glycidyl methacrylate) and bacterial cellulose (BC), or poly(poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate) and BC were produced via the in-situ polymerization of methacrylic monomers, inside the BC 3D network. The nanocomposites surface properties were evaluated by inverse gas chromatography (IGC). The dispersive component of surface energy (γ) varied between 35.

The IPNs were designed to incorporate CNC with carboxyl surface groups as a part of the network contribute to the structural integrity and mechanical stability of the hydrogel. Structural morphology studies of the hydrogels showed a three-dimensional (3D) network of interconnected pores with diameters in the range of 10-192 μm and hierarchical pores with a nanostructured pore wall roughness, which has potential benefits for cell adhesion.

The objective of this work was to develop an environmental friendly method for the effective utilization of coir fibre by adopting steam pre-treatment. The retting of the coconut bunch makes strong environmental problems which can be avoided by this method. Chemical characterization of the fibre during each processing stages confirmed the increase of cellulose content from raw (40%) to final steam treated fibres (93%).

Objective: The pathological changes in diabetic nephropathy (DN) include oxidative stress, renal injury, matrix accumulation and podocyte abnormalities. We investigated the renoprotective actions of LIN, a monoterpene alcohol, present in herbal essential oils in STZ-induced diabetic rats with renal injury.
The seeds of C. sativum are used as a traditional drug for the treatment of diabetes. The antioxidant and free-radical-scavenging property of seeds in vitro was studied and also investigated whether the administration of seeds curtails oxidative stress in the kidney of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.

The chemical composition, morphology and thermal properties of the nanofibers were characterized to investigate their suitability for use in bio-based composite material applications. Chemical characterization of the banana fibers confirmed that the cellulose content was increased from 64% to 95% due to the application of alkali and acid treatments.

Clinical Picture: We describe a 21-year-old patient who acutely ingested 120 tablets, each 500 mg paracetamol (i.
A sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of hydroxylamine is described. The method is based on the oxidation of hydroxylamine to nitrite using sodium arsenate under alkaline condition. The formed nitrite is determined based on the diazo coupling reaction between p-nitroaniline and N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride [NEDA].
