Introduction: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) administers low-intensity direct current electrical stimulation to brain regions via electrodes arranged on the surface of the scalp. The core promise of tDCS is its ability to modulate brain activity and affect performance on diverse cognitive functions (affording inferences regarding regional brain activity and behavior), but the optimal methodological parameters for maximizing behavioral effects remain to be elucidated. Handling flue dust in an environmentally friendly manner has become an urgent task for pollution prevention in the copper industry. Here, driven by the low-carbon notion, we report a process that enables the selective retrieval of multiple metals (As, Cu, Pb, Zn, and Bi) from copper smelting flue dust (CSFD). This process employed low-temperature roasting to separate arsenic from heavy metals, thereby eliminating the tedious separation steps required by existing processes.

Through the condensation of isatin (indoline-2, 3-dione) and aniline in a 1:1 ratio, a Schiff base ligand was synthesized and characterized via (H-NMR, mass, IR, UV-Vis) spectra. Elemental analyses, spectroscopy (H-NMR, mass, UV-Vis), magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, mass spectra, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and thermal analysis have all been used to characterize a series of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) metal complexes derived from the titled ligand. Background: Composite meshes are used for incisional hernia repair because they enable intraperitoneal mesh placement due to their dorsal surface, which is made of inert material. We report, for the first time, to our knowledge, a case of composite mesh migration detected incidentally during a laparotomy for colon cancer in an asymptomatic patient.

Case Presentation: Our patient was a 71-year-old South Asian man who underwent ventral mesh repair following a postoperative complication after right hemicolectomy for colon cancer.

The selective laser melting of Ti6Al4V would induce definite changes in the microstructure that may affect its corrosion properties. Microstructural examination showed the formation of relatively thin beta (β) lamella in selective laser melted (SLM) Ti6Al4V compared to wrought Ti6Al4V. Introduction: Pruritus without visible dermatoses may be the first manifestation of hematological malignancies such as Hodgkin disease, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mycosis fungoides (MF) and may precede the definitive diagnosis by weeks to years.

Case Report: We present a case of 'invisible' MF associated with chronic generalized pruritus in an elderly patient.

Conclusion: Our case highlights the importance of performing skin biopsies in patients with chronic unexplained pruritus, especially in the absence of cutaneous lesions.

Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) is the most common type of porphyria worldwide and is often initially diagnosed when cutaneous manifestations arise. We present two patients where misdiagnosis of PCT occurred due to the condition masquerading as epidermolysis bullosa acquisita histologically. In patients with undifferentiated bullous/erosive skin conditions occurring in photo-distributed regions, PCT should be considered in the differential diagnosis irrespective of histopathological findings on biopsies and further investigated and treated appropriately.
