Introduction: End-stage kidney disease patients face a critical decision regarding kidney replacement therapy options, which include kidney transplantation, hemodialysis, or peritoneal dialysis (PD). This study aims to evaluate the impact of nurse-led education (NE) alone vs. NE combined with peer support on the patients' decision over PD treatment in chronic kidney disease patients.

This study aimed to evaluate the clinical value of additional lateral imaging and single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) versus conventional planar imaging for locating parathyroid pathologies in patients with PHPT.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective review was performed on 105 patients who underwent dual-phase Tc-99m MIBI scintigraphy and were surgically treated by parathyroidectomy.
Objective: To elucidate the effect of virtual reality video application on fistula puncture-associated pain in patients undergoing hemodialysis.
Design: Attention controlled and assessor-blinded randomized trial.
Materials And Methods: Attention controlled and assessor-blinded randomized trial was conducted 28 patients at the hemodialysis center of City Hospital.

Objective: We aimed to compare different segmentation methods used to calculate prognostically valuable volumetric parameters, somatostatin receptor expressing tumor volume (SRETV), and total lesion somatostatin receptor expression (TLSRE), measured by 68 Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and to find the optimal segmentation method to predict prognosis.
Patients And Methods: Images of 34 patients diagnosed with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (GEPNET) who underwent 68 Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT imaging were reanalyzed. Four different threshold-based methods (fixed relative threshold method, normal liver background threshold method, fixed absolute standardized uptake value (SUV) threshold method, and adaptive threshold method) were used to calculate SRETV and TLSRE values.
Desmoid fibromatosis, also called desmoid tumors, is a group of locally aggressive fibromatous proliferative disorders. They represent less than 3% of all soft tissue sarcoma and are multifocal in approximately 10% of cases. However, there are only a few cases in the literature describing 18F-FDG PET/CT and 99mTc-MDP bone scan features of extra-abdominal desmoid fibromas, and all were solitary bone lesions.

FDG PET/CT is the cornerstone of the staging procedures in the management of lymphomas leading to upstaging and picking up occult lesions in the spleen and extranodal sites. Herein, we reported initial staging 18 F-FDG PET/CT findings of a woman with Hodgkin lymphoma whose spleen was absent in normal position and multiple intense heterogenous hypermetabolism in a pelvic mass raised a suspicion of wandering splenic involvement.

There is evidence that mesangial C3 deposition plays a role in the development of the disease. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of C3 deposition on the prognosis of IgAN patients.

Herein, we report a case of bone lipogranuloma with intense 18F-FDG uptake, which mimics metastatic disease on 18F-FDG PET/CT in a patient with breast cancer.

Methods: We analyzed 204 women with uncomplicated at-term singleton pregnancies, who underwent cesarean birth under regional anesthesia between March and July 2021. The women were randomized into three groups: DCC (clamped 60 s postpartum), ECC (clamped within 15 s postpartum), or MC (clamped after milking five times) group.
Introduction: Hypertension is an early finding of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) and is related to different mechanisms. Cyst expansion-related renin secretion or early endothelial dysfunctions are some of these hypotheses. In addition, the underlying genetic factor is thought to play a role in the inheritance of hypertension.

Objective: Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is one of the most frequent endocrine diseases. Most of the patients with PHPT are asymptomatic, and only 20% of them become symptomatic with increasing levels of calcium. It has been reported that normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism (NPHPT) may be the incipient period of PHPT where calcium (Ca) levels are in normal range, and it may advance to overt PHPT.

Background: Although several renal biopsy registry reports have been published worldwide, there are no data on primary glomerular disease trends in Turkey.
Methods: Three thousand eight-hundred fifty-eight native kidney biopsy records were assessed in the Turkish Society of Nephrology Primary Glomerulopathy Working Group (TSN-GOLD) Registry. Secondary disease and transplant biopsies were not recorded in the registry.
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the clinical effects of concentrated growth factor (CGF) in combination with coronally advanced flap (CAF) compared with platelet rich fibrin (PRF)+CAF for the treatment of multiple adjacent gingival recessions (GRs).
Method And Materials: 18 subjects with total of 76 Type I GRs in the maxilla were included. Recessions were randomly treated according to a split-mouth design by means of CGF+CAF (39 defects, CGF side), or PRF+CAF (37 defects, PRF side).
Introduction: There is insufficient data on the role of the medium cutoff (MCO) membranes in the clearance of pro-inflammatory cytokines and oxidant radicals in patients with sepsis requiring hemodialysis.
Methods: The study consisted of 38 septic patients who developed acute kidney injury (AKI) and who were scheduled to undergo 2 sessions of hemodialysis. Nineteen patients underwent their first dialysis session with the MCO membrane and 19 patients with the high-flux (HF) membrane.
Background: Galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) has an increased tendency to form immunocomplexes with IgG in the serum, contributing to IgAN pathogenesis by accumulating in the glomerular mesangium. Several studies showed that glomerular IgG deposition in IgAN is an important cause of mesangial proliferation and glomerular damage. This study aims to determine the association of the positivity of IgG and the intensity of IgG staining with a poor renal prognosis.

However, assessment of adrenocortical reserve is challenging in amyloidosis patients with renal involvement. We aimed to evaluate adrenocortical reserve with various methods of cortisol measurement to determine any occult clinical condition.
