Ischemic stroke (IS) commonly results in long-term disability, largely due to alterations in neuronal networks. In repeatable rodent IS model under naturalistic conditions, the difficulty of capturing single-cell neuronal activities and how this solves a long-standing challenge is still remained. Here, we combined a photothrombotic stroke model with head-mounted miniaturized two-photon microscopy (mTPM) to achieve longitudinal, real-time imaging of GABAergic neurons in the contralesional primary motor cortex (M1) in freely moving mice.

Objective: The objective of this research is to examine the association between neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio (NPAR) and stroke, providing a reference for the prevention and prognosis of clinical stroke.

Method: The study included 56,566 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to explore the association between NPAR and stroke using logistic regression and restricted cubic splines. Upon identifying the nonlinear relationship, inflection points were calculated using recursive algorithms and two-stage linear regression models.

Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on lumbar dysfunction and multifidus muscle characteristics in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH).

Methods: Sixty patients with LDH were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with symptomatic treatment.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for postviral olfactory dysfunction (PVOD).

Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, China Network Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP), Chinese Biomedical and Medical (CBM) Database, and Wanfang Database were electronically searched from their inception to July 25, 2022. Two authors independently performed study selection, data extraction, and quality assessment to ensure systematic quality evaluation.

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture on lumbar disc herniation (LDH) with different multifidus fatty infiltration rates.

Methods: A total of 108 eligible LDH patients received MRI test before treatment and the multifidus fatty infiltration rate (FI) was measured. According to theresults, they were divided to group A (FI<10%), group B (10%≤FI≤20%) and group C (FI>20%), 36 cases in each one.

Rationale: Choroid plexus papillomas are rare benign central nervous system neoplasms arising from choroid plexus epithelium. They are most often located in the lateral ventricle, followed by the fourth and third ventricles and, rarely, in the cerebellopontine angle.

Patient Concerns: We report an uncommon case of a 17-year-old boy who presented with neck pain that had lasted for more than 1 month, with accompanying pain and numbness in his upper extremities.

Objective: To study the changes in median frequency (MF) from a surface electromyogram of skeletal muscles and functional assessment of chronic illness therapy (FACIT) figure scale scores for patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) before and after Tuina treatment.

Methods: A controlled clinical trial was adopted. Thirty-two patients suffering from CFS were enrolled according to the inclusion criteria from outpatient department of Shanghai Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in China; thirty normal people whose gender, age, height and body mass were concordant with the CFS patients were selected as the normal group.

Objective: To observe the interventional effect of electroacupuncture combined with catgut implantation at acupoints for treatment of simple obesity of heart and spleen deficiency type.

Methods: Sixty five cases were randomly divided into an observation group (33 cases) and a control group (32 cases). The observation group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with catgut implantation at acupoint therapy, the electroacupuncture was applied at Zhongwan (CV 12), Xiawan (CV 10), Guanyuan (CV 4), Tianshu (ST 25), ect.
