A scoping review is an approach to identify or map the extent of key concepts and main sources and types of evidence available on a topic. Hypnic jerks are considered a parasomnia categorized as a sleep-wake transition disorder. Although hypnic jerks are considered a benign sleep/movement disorder, some of the latest research indicates that they may be a clinical characteristic for other sleep disorders that affect health care outcomes.

Obesity and related chronic diseases are on the rise in the United States. At the same time, 69% of Americans are religious, while 40% attend church regularly. This study evaluated the health benefits of two different biblically-based health promotion programs offered through rural and metropolitan churches with varying resources.

This study explored how an educational intervention related to organ donation affected the knowledge and attitude of a randomized two group sample of baccalaureate nursing students. A convenience sample of 101 subjects in the experimental group and 83 subjects in the control group were asked to complete a pretest. One week later the experimental group attended a one hour education intervention.
