Neurotrophic factor 3 (NTF3) is a cysteine knot protein and a member of the nerve growth factor (NGF) family of cytokines. NTF3 engages the Trk family of receptor tyrosine kinases, playing a pivotal role in the development and function of both the central and peripheral nervous systems. Its involvement in neuronal survival, differentiation, and growth links NTF3 to a spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of preoperative (± intraoperative) RT on postoperative complications in patients undergoing surgery for RPS.
Background: Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN) services provide universal care to families during the first 2000 days (conception: 5 years) to support optimal health and developmental outcomes of children in New South Wales, Australia. The use of technology represents a promising means to encourage family engagement with CFHN services and enable universal access to evidenced-based age and stage information. Currently, there is little evidence exploring the acceptability of various models of technology-based support provided during the first 2000 days, as well as the maternal characteristics that may influence this.

There is evidence suggesting that the impact of DHIs may be enhanced by improving user engagement. However, little is known about the overall effectiveness of strategies on engagement with DHIs.

In this study, we investigate the impact of moderate to high dose radiation (over 50 Gy) on bone metabolism and structure. Between 2015 and 2018, patients with a primary malignant bone tumor of the sacrum that were either treated with high dose definitive radiation only or a combination of moderate to high dose radiation and surgery were prospectively enrolled at a single institution.

In this preregistered study, we hypothesized that the formation of false memories may be promoted when the fake news includes stereotypes that reflect positively on one's own nationality or negatively on another nationality. We exposed German and Irish participants ( = 1,184) to fabricated news stories that were consistent with positive or negative stereotypes about Germany and Ireland.

We conducted a multicenter cross-sectional survey study to define and characterize risk factors for severe COVID-19 in adults (≥18 years) treated at our virtual COVID-19 clinic from March 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021. We assessed patient demographics, symptom types, and persistence, incidence of PASC, and COVID-19-caused hospitalizations.

Purpose: The manual segmentation of organ structures in radiation oncology treatment planning is a time-consuming and highly skilled task, particularly when treating rare tumors like sacral chordomas. This study evaluates the performance of automated deep learning (DL) models in accurately segmenting the gross tumor volume (GTV) and surrounding muscle structures of sacral chordomas.
Methods And Materials: An expert radiation oncologist contoured 5 muscle structures (gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, paraspinal, piriformis) and sacral chordoma GTV on computed tomography images from 48 patients.
Ensembles of neurons are thought to be coactive when participating in brain computations. However, it is unclear what principles determine whether an ensemble remains localised within a single brain region, or spans multiple brain regions. To address this, we analysed electrophysiological neural population data from hundreds of neurons recorded simultaneously across nine brain regions in awake mice.

The government healthcare system unintentionally excludes the destitute in several ways. In this article, a "slum's-eye" perspective on the public healthcare system is offered through reflections on stories of tuberculosis patients in urban poor neighbourhoods. We hope these stories contribute to discourse on how to strengthen the public healthcare system and make it more accessible for all, especially the poor.

Objective: To evaluate perceptions of current parental leave policy and culture among posttraining North American ophthalmologists.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This nonvalidated survey used a 19-item online questionnaire.
Background: High school canteens are an ideal setting for public health nutrition intervention, and choice architecture strategies that facilitate the purchase of healthier foods and beverages from school canteens are recommended by the World Health Organization. The rapid uptake of online lunch ordering within school canteens provides a unique opportunity to implement choice architecture strategies that support healthier food choices with high fidelity. Despite this, no trial has tested the efficacy of choice architecture strategies within an online lunch ordering system on improving the nutritional quality of high school student lunch purchases.

These text data are rich resources for clinical purposes, but their sheer volume render them difficult to manage. Even automated approaches, such as natural language processing, require labor-intensive manual classification for developing training data sets.

It is a rare complication of frontal sinusitis, and it is especially rare in adult females. A careful review of existing literature identified only 17 cases in adult females.

The purpose of this study is to report the results of high-dose, proton-based definitive radiotherapy for unresected spinal and sacral chordomas.

To support the implementation of programs targeting healthy eating, physical activity and obesity prevention in the FDC setting, an understanding of the factors influencing their implementation is required. This mixed methods systematic review aimed to describe the barriers and facilitators to the implementation of healthy eating, physical activity or obesity prevention policies, practices and programs (hereafter referred to as programs) in the FDC setting, and synthesise these according to the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).
