- Chitin nanocrystals (ChiNC) were created using a treatment with p-toluenesulfonic acid and choline chloride deep eutectic solvent, resulting in crystals that vary in size (12-44 nm wide, 206-399 nm long) while preserving their crystalline structure and functional groups.
- The immobilization of porcine pancreas lipase (PPL) onto ChiNC resulted in PPL@ChiNC, which displayed enzyme loading of 35.6 mg/g and an impressive activity recovery of 82.5%.
