Suppressed Nonreciprocal Second-Harmonic Generation of Antiferromagnet MnPSe in the MnPSe/Graphene Heterostructure Due to Interfacial Magnon-Plasmon Coupling.

Interfacial coupling is one of the keys to manipulating magnetic/nonmagnetic two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures for novel functionalities. The MnPSe/graphene heterostructure is a prospective platform for quantum information and metrology. However, how graphene affects MnPSe through interfacial coupling is still poorly understood.

A correlated ferromagnetic polar metal by design.

Polar metals have recently garnered increasing interest because of their promising functionalities. Here we report the experimental realization of an intrinsic coexisting ferromagnetism, polar distortion and metallicity in quasi-two-dimensional CaCoO. This material crystallizes with alternating stacking of oxygen tetrahedral CoO monolayers and octahedral CoO bilayers.

Probing the Néel-Type Antiferromagnetic Order and Coherent Magnon-Exciton Coupling in Van Der Waals VPS.

2D van der Waals (vdW) antiferromagnets have received intensive attention due to their terahertz resonance, multilevel magnetic-order states, and ultrafast spin dynamics. However, accurately identifying their magnetic configuration still remains a challenge owing to the lack of net magnetization and insensitivity to external fields. In this work, the Néel-type antiferromagnetic (AFM) order in 2D antiferromagnet VPS with the out-of-plane anisotropy, which is demonstrated by the temperature-dependent spin-phonon coupling and second-harmonic generation (SHG), is experimentally probed.

Emergent, Non-Aging, Extendable, and Rechargeable Exchange Bias in 2D Fe GeTe Homostructures Induced by Moderate Pressuring.

As a crucial concept in magnetism and spintronics, exchange bias (ExB) measures the asymmetry in the hysteresis loop of a pinned ferromagnet (FM)/antiferromagnet (AFM) interface. Previous studies are mainly focused on FM/AFM heterostructures composed of conventional bulk materials, whose complex interfaces prohibit precise control and full understanding of the phenomenon. Here, the enabling power of 2D magnets is exploited to demonstrate the emergence, non-aging, extendability, and rechargeability of ExB in van der Waals Fe GeTe homostructures, upon moderate pressuring.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: In Vietnamese traditional herbalism, there are conflicting opinions about the effect of Artemisia vulgaris L. (AVL, English name: mugwort) on hypertension. Some ethnic doctors recommend the use of AVL for treatment of hypertension, whereas others advise against it.

Investigation on Molecular Mechanism of Fibroblast Regulation and the Treatment of Recurrent Oral Ulcer by Shuizhongcao Granule-Containing Serum.

The purpose is to study the intervention, proliferation, and differentiation on fibroblast by Shuizhongcao Granule during the treatment of ROU and investigate the action mechanism in inflammatory microenvironment. Proliferation of rat fibroblasts was detected using CCK8. Western blot was used to detect the effect of drug-containing serum on the expression of protein associated with NF-κB and ERK pathway in rat fibroblasts.

Aleukemic leukemia cutis. An unusual presentation of acute myelomonocytic leukemia.

A patient with acute myelomonocytic leukemia is reported. He had presented erythroderma and atypical cellular infiltration of the skin 4 months prior to the detection of leukemia in the peripheral blood and bone marrow. Aleukemic leukemia cutis is a rare condition which is characterized by leukemic cells invading the skin prior to the observation of leukemic cells in the peripheral blood.

Monocytic leukaemia associated with myeloid metaplasia, resembling metastatic bone disease.

A case of lethal, subacute monocytic leukaemia is described in which the development of multiple sclerotic bone lesions, resembling metastases, was due to secondary myeloid metaplasia. The spectrum of leukaemic involvement of the skeleton is discussed with emphasis on sclerotic bone lesions. The differential diagnosis of other focal areas of bone sclerosis is considered.
