Many new mRNA vaccines in development are multivalent, which represents a difficulty for the standard assays commonly used to characterize the critical quality attributes of monovalent formulations. Here, we present a multiplexed analytical tool with nucleic acid microarray technology using the VaxArray platform that measures the identity and quantity of mono- and multivalent mixtures of naked mRNA and mRNA encapsulated in lipid nanoparticle formulations in under 2 h without any additional preparation steps, such as extraction or RT-PCR.

Latin American samples are significantly underrepresented in global cancer genomics studies, which directly affects patients in these regions as it is known that cancer risk and incidence may be influenced by ancestry and environmental exposures. To address this, here we characterise the genome and transcriptome of 128 acral melanoma tumours from 96 Mexican patients, a population notable because of its genetic admixture.

Wearable magnetoencephalography based on optically pumped magnetometers (OPM-MEG) offers non-invasive and high-fidelity measurement of human brain electrophysiology. The flexibility of OPM-MEG also means it can be deployed in participants of all ages and permits scanning during movement. However, the magnetic fields generated by neuronal currents - which form the basis of the OPM-MEG signal - are much smaller than environmental fields, and this means measurements are highly sensitive to interference.

The effects of low-carbohydrate, high-fat (LCHF) diets on ASCVD risk are uncertain; therefore, gaining a greater understanding of LCHF meals on PPL may provide valuable insights.
Objective: The current systematic review investigated the effects of single LCHF meal consumption on PPL and markers of ED.

In New South Wales, Special Health Accommodation (SHA) was rapidly established as a comprehensive health service for individuals that were at risk of having COVID-19, were confirmed to have COVID-19 or for those with complex health needs that were deemed inappropriate for management in Police managed Quarantine Hotels. SHA services were later expanded to care for community members who were COVID-19 positive and unable to effectively isolate, or contacts of individuals who were unable to quarantine effectively in their homes.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: Recent advances to preserve neurocognitive function in patients treated for brain metastases include stereotactic radiosurgery, hippocampal avoidance whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT), and memantine administration. The hippocampus, corpus callosum, fornix, and amygdala are key neurocognitive substructures with a low propensity for brain metastases. Herein, we report our preliminary experience using a "memory-avoidance" WBRT (MA-WBRT) approach that spares these substructures for patients with >15 brain metastases.
